Hello dreamers!
Greetings from Florida, I'm currently 15 years old and going to high school. I've been going through alot of stress lately and I've decided lucid dreaming would be a good outlet, and it may help me with many other things such as practicing situations in real life and just entertainment when I'm down. I've been practicing alot but I do have a few issues, I have trouble with dream recall and becoming lucid within a dream. I figure ofcourse this is fine since I'm just starting out. But I'd love to hear some advice from the veterans on what I should do that will help me increase my dream recall as well as my levels of lucidity and remaining lucid while within a dream. Keeping a dream journal is kind of a tough option, my mornings are quiet rushy and I may not have time to write a dream journal, unless perhaps its on the bus ride to school, however I may have already forgotten my dreams. Thanks for your time fellow dreamers!

Hello sir! Welcome to dreamviews! I hope you have a long and enjoyable stay!
So as for dream recall I have a few tips. First, a dream journal is sometimes a hard thing to keep up, especially with a busy schedule. Trust me, I got to high school as well, I get where you are coming from. A good thing to do is to find some time to get your dream journaling time in. For example, while you are making your breakfast/eating it you can record them there. You could also try waking up 15 minutes earlier to give yourself a good amount of time to write down your dreams. Or if you find you don't have enough time or don't want to get up earlier, then there is another thing you can try. Once you get up, just jot down a a few key points about your dream to keep the memory of the dream in your head. For example you could write a few bullets like: There were dragons in my dream, I tried to fight them, a giant water bottle attacked me and almost ate me (had to have a little fun with this ;) ) key points like these will help you recall your dream on the bus.
As for levels of lucidity I have a wonderful solution. What you need to do is to stabilize the dream. Now the goal of dream stabilization is to ground yourself in the dream, increase the clarity, reduce your chances of waking up, and overall just make your lucid dreams easier to do. There are a few ways to do this, a personal favorite of mine is to just rub everything up in the dream, you could feel the walls or whatever is around you, even the ground will work! There are many other techniques for doing this, click here for some more information on dream stabilization and clarity. Make sure to stabilize your lucid dreams every time! It's a very helpful skill to learn!
I hope this helps you out sir! Again, welcome to dreamviews! Feel free to ask questions!

Hey Bumpeh,
Kona did a great reply, I don't have much to add! I found keeping a notepad beside my bed and waking up 5 minutes before is a great way to keep motivated, that way you have some time dedicated to writing down that dream! You also can just lay there for five minutes and I usually find I remember the dream that way.
If you have any other questions you can drop me a PM anytime.
Happy Dreams
