It's been a while...
So, I haven't been on dreamviews for a couple of weeks. My motivation for lucid dreaming has hit an all-time low. I even checked out a bunch of lucid dreaming books from my library and I've only partially read a few.
I can't do it :( Every time I wake up in the middle of the night, I have no motivation to write anything down, and even when I want to WILD/WBTB, my mind drifts to sleep without making any effort whatsoever. I'm too sleepy to want to try anything during the night. I want to have lucid dreams, but I don't think I can.
What do you think?

You CAN, man.
If you've got no motivation, then you don't wanna do it, right? So I'd say wait until you get motivated by something.
Also, try auto-suggestion during the day like mantras like "I will have a lucid dream tonight", or something. If you want motivation, just check out the tasks of the month and year and the loads of different ideas people have on here. Some of them are really worth trying.
If you're too sleepy during the night, just fall back asleep and do your best to remember what happened in the morning - dream recall really is key to lucid dreaming.
And I think it's good you're reading books on the subject: in my experience, the more you think about lucid dreaming the easier it comes. Can I ask what books? I'd be interested in checking them out :P

You seem to be REALLY tired, It helps if you go to sleep every night around the same time, Make sure you're not staying up to the point where you pass out in bed the second you lay down. I never even remember any dreams when I'm really tired.

If you don't think you can LD, then you can't.
Confidence is key! KNOW you can lucid dream.
How long have you been trying to lucid dream?
