My name is Hayden and I had my first lucid dream yesterday. I am wondering what to do now.
Hey there, Hayden. Congratulations on your first lucid dream, and welcome to Dream Views!
Well, the question is, what do you want to do now? How do you feel about your first lucid experience? Did you write it down, so that you can remember it later in life? If not, I would seriously suggest starting at Dream Journal. If you are looking to increase how often you can become lucid, recognizing recurring symbols in your dreams is a good way to start. Dream Journaling can help you with this.
There are plenty of tutorials and information on the site, but it helps to have a general direction that you'd like to take your lucid dreaming journey in. Now that you know what it's like to lucid dream, what would you like to do with that knowledge?
Again, welcome to DV! Make yourself at home, enjoy your stay, and be sure to ask any questions you might have. :cooler:
Hey Hayden,
O said alot of what I had to say, but I can recommend you try the DILD/MILD technique first, some techniques I think are great which work together are All Day Awareness, Sporadic Awareness, Reality Checking when something strange happens, autosuggestion before bed 'I'm Dreaming'.
If you need expanding on any of this, just ask here! ;)
Good Luck!
Welcome to DV :) The first two covered a lot of it, read around here on the forums, Puffins Beginners Guide to Lucid Dreaming, the wiki, and what not :) just try to stay confident because trying to intentionally LD can be frustrating at times :)
Welcome!
I totally agree with Oneironaut.
Did you start lucid dreaming because you wanted to do something? Or perhaps you like fantasy based movies/novels/anime? In lucid dreams, you can do anything, anything.Quote:

... anything
First of all, congratulations on having your first LD - and welcome to DV.
What to do, as the others already mentioned, largely depends on what you want to do - perhaps read some guides and general information on the subject, and see if it can help you to obtain that state again.
I think it might also be good if you try to remember, whether or not you did anything specific and try to take it from there.
