Hello everyone!
Hi, my name is Michel and as you can see i am a new member of this forum!
I joined this forum after i had read a thread on another forum about lucid dreaming.
I got interested about the lucid dreaming because i loved even regular dreams, so lucid dreaming should be amazing! I mean ,being in a world where you can do anything is awesome!
So anyway i googled ''lucid dreaming forum'' and ended up here. So i hope to have a great by spending around here. So yeah that was my introdruction.
I had some questions too and wondered if any of you would know an anser.
I recently started to keep by a dream journal in my notebook next to my bed and writing my dreams that i can remember in it to help me remember dreams better.
Recently i had 2 dreams where i THINK i was lucid.
In the first dream i was in my bed, and did a reality check. I put 2 fingers trough my hand and my hand disapeared. Then i put my fingers on my nose and tried breathing. Then i struck to me 'i was dreaming', but then i woke up!
In the second dream its kinda hard to remember how i got where i was. But i remembered that i put my fingers on my nose and tried breathing. It struck to me again that i was dreaming! But i woke up again merely second after it.
What i would like to know is, was I lucid?Did i woke up because i didn't stabilize? Or wasn't i lucid at all?
Well thats all for now i guess, I wil lurk here more around.
Cheers

Hello Michel welcome to DV,
That's the same way I found this forum! ;)
Yeah well done you were lucid! If you realise you are dreaming that is a lucid. Congratulations!
Stabilisation comes with practice, we all wake up on our first lucid, there are a few things you can try to stabilise:
Rubbing hands together
Shouting "Stabilise!"
Looking round the dream calmly
Focusing on objects
Those are just a few, find out what works best for you, and good luck! ;)

It's a sort of playgound of dreamville. When you think you're dreaming, you can be aware that you are dreaming, and many call it Lucidy. But when you think you are awake and realize that you are dreaming... what do you think then?

Hi there Michael, nice to see that you joined up :)
Yes, they are lucid dreams and you most likely woke up due to surprise or over excitement. The best thing to do when you realise you're dreaming is calm down first and then stabalise.
Hope to see you around ;)
