I need help badly!!!! (please read!!!!!!)

Hi just had a couple quick questions. Itd be nice to get sum advice Okay so ivelucid dreamt (or at least I think they were lucid dreams) twice and the first real one I broke out of my normal dream and I woke up in my room and took a couple deep breathes to settle down my paranoia. Then I wiggled my fingersand toesand broke some of the paralysis away. thought ”mmm I wanna leave now.... I dont likethisscary feeling....”. So I started contemplating ideas to wake up, since jerking my head dosent work (anymore). i got the idea that maybe sleep paralysis is acctully sleep walking!So i thought maybe if i sling shot my head on edge the bed i would awake. Didnt work. So then i tried reaching around for my phone to get to my flash light app and shine it in my eyes. It took me a while but eventully it appeared! I looked at the screen and the wierdest thing ever happened! It was some app on my phone i have never seen before! It read off some words that just sounded crazy or mad, and the backround was trippy. Finally i went back to sleep. The other time was in the day so i broke completly out of paralysis and looked around the room and got up and shut the door. Then i got bored and went to sleep., i woke up not knowing i was still dreaming but somehow i figured out i did, so i went back to sleep. Then i woke up AGAIN not knowing i wasdreaming and startes getting ready for school and putting on clothes, and out of the corner of my eye a shadow movedquicklysoifeel to floorscared and realized i was stilldreaming! I started crying with fusteration and paranoia,and then woke up in waking life.

So my questions are:
1.) Were those lucid dreams?
2.) How do i leave my room and out of the house without paranoia/anxiety?
3.) when i do start getting more advanced with lucid dreaming how will i talk to people if im scared theyll do something sudden or scary?
4.) How can i levitate out of my room?
5.) What are so calming techniques i can use?
6.) Im told these are false awakenings or sleep paralysis but thats all i can get too! I cant lucid dream. Like every time i realize ”hey im dreaming” i always go straight to my bed unable to move or speak. Any advice? Thank you!

Not an expert, but here it goes.
1.) If you knew you were dreaming, then it was.
2.)I think fear goes away eventually, or isn't even present in some dreams.
3.)You propably won't be scared about that.
4.)Just do it, you believe you can levitate and you will, simple as that.
5.)You should read some guides, here on DV. You could rub your hands together. Focus for a moment before rushing of. Just calm your mind, use every instinct possible.
6.)SP happens sometimes when you wake up or go to sleep. If you are in your bed, when asleep, you can get away from it by: just going away. It is your dream your in command. :shadewink:
And if your awake and can't move i've heard if you change your breathing cycle, the sleep paralysis (SP) will go away.

I've only had a few lucids, but here goes.
1) They were probably lucid dreams, especially if you realized it (Though I've done reality checks in dreams that were succesful, and I just kept dreaming LOL)
2) Try lying on the bed for a few minutes, or singing a song (works sometimes for me :cheeky:). It gets better with practice.
3) Not sure about that one :/
4) Try imagining yourself floating thrugh the window or ceiling. If you DO have a window, you could break it and jump to the ground. Either you will wake up or you will land safely and continue your lucid.
5) Try rubbing your hands together (The friction that you feel will calm you and make the dream more stable) You can also try breathing deeply.
6) Almost everyone can lucid dream. If you did it by accident you can do it purposefully :) As for you heading straight for bed, either forcefully will yourself to stay awake, or put something near your bed that will remind you not to go back to bed (It should be there in the dream)
As I said, I've only had a few lucids, but with my small experience and from reading other people's posts, this is what I've gathered :banana:

Hey, zteven9, here's my views on all this:

1. As you stated yourself, you were aware of the fact that you were dreaming, so they were lucid dreams. Lucidity is the awareness that you're in the dream-world and knowing none of it is real. Control and stability doesn't come into this, per say, as they're categories of their own.

2. By calming yourself. What you must remember about the dream-world is that, no matter what happens, you are totally safe. You will not be harmed in any way as none of it is real. It's kind of the same as watching a film or something - the only thing which can ''harm'' you is your own fear of it. Once you learn to control your emotions you'll be free to do absolutely anything you wish!

3. The same concept which I explained in question 2. While lucid, what happens is based on your expectations of things; if you expect bad things to happen, they probably will. Simply expect things go to smooth (truly believe it) and they will! Don't let doubt and fear cloud your mind. :)

4. If you disregard this world's limitations and believe anything you want to do is possible (and just do it), you shall. While lucid, you're in the same position as a God would be - you're free to bend anything and everything to your will if it so be your desire.

5. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by ''calming''. If it's in the sense of distilling negative emotions, I'd suggest practising meditation while awake. Once you learn how to calm yourself while everything is swirling around you, doing it while on the move is a lot easier. As I've stated before, reassurance is key in this field - tell yourself that is it totally harmless, because it is. You are the sole controller of your dream-world, so you have the power to decide what happens.

Others here have took this as ''stabilisation'' techniques, so if that's the case, I agree with what they've said. When it comes to becoming grounded in the dream, your prime focus should be stimulating as many senses as you can simultaneously. What I mean by this is focusing on everything you can - what you can see, smell, feel, taste and hear, and really pay attention to every little detail in each sense.

Smell the air - how does it smell? How does it feel as it passes through your nostrils? How does your chest feel while inhaling and exhaling? Pick up the closest object to you and explore every inch of it with your fingers while closely examining it with your eyes. How it does feel? What does it look like? This is the way in which you should go about trying to heighten your senses. I'd recommend this technique if you want to get better with awareness: All Day Awareness, A DILD Tutorial by KingYoshi

6. Although false awakenings are pesky, they are also very handy if you train yourself to catch them when the occur. Something I would recommend to help minimize them is to do a reality check every time you're going to go to sleep and every time you wake up. I can testify that this helps from an experience I had yesterday morning (after a fairly long lucid dream) which involved 2 false awakenings - one after another. Because I'm getting more into the habit of checking my state of reality every time I wake up, I was able to catch both as they happened.

Sleep paralysis is also another thing you can use to your advantage. I've only ever experienced it once, and all I had to do while in that state was visualise something for a brief amount of time until a dream started forming in front of me. Do not move a muscle - let the SP take hold and carry you into a dream.
