Frightening Series of Dreams

Hi All , I am very disturbed with a series of frightening dreams or nightmares. Needed some help from more experienced people in this matter.
Dream 1:

I had a dream that a few people wanted to kill my Dad and Mom. So, I decided to take them to a remote village and lock them at some place where, its safe for them to live through the phase.

In my dream I bought a sniper rifle and sat down at the crow nest waiting for those people to come who wanted to kill my parents. As I wait, I get some tea in order to stay awake, I dont know from where I got the tea. And then they come with axes and guns, 10 of them. And I start shooting 9 of them with pin point accuracy. All of them die on the spot. However the last one is running zigzag dodging bullets. And he looks back at me with a very evil and wicked smile. And as if that last guy is ringing voice in my head," you would one day meet a similar fate, what are you running away from, what are you trying to protect??"

And then I see that he fells down while running and I shoot him, and he never wakes up again. And with the recoil of the sniper I fell off from the high tower. And I woke up from the dream. This dream was in full sunshine , kind of pleasant environment. But high on tension as they wanted to kill my parents.
I need to tell you that, during the time I was dreaming this, I was out of college and desperate to get into a PhD programme, but with no luck during that phase of 4 months.

Dream 2 This I dreamt after I joined my PhD at South Korea, since I come from India. We have a system of arranged marriages, and had just been into that episode and somehow escaped a possible engagement to some girl I have never met, never seen. So the dream goes like this:
I was locked up somewhere in some room and I have some constant worrying feeling going up in my head. The room had some rancid smell. I dont know what it was. And the door which is locked is opened up all of a sudden, and I see this very skinny woman with evil eyes trying to tell me that she wants to eat me up part by part everyday. And she was assuring me that nothing will happen to me, she would marry me after 4 days. but she has to eat some part of my flesh from my thighs and arms for the next 4 days. She prepares the trap for me, my legs and arms were tied. And all of a sudden I yell out Shiva's name and break the rope, and kick the female and run out, the next moment I see that there was this big black dog, coming along with me. I was bit scared of it, then something tells me to ride on its back and escape. I ride the dog and the dog takes me over the remains of human beings blood bones and flesh. But now there is a trouble, I want to get down from the dog, but the dog made it clear that If I try to get down, it would rip me. I sit on its back riding and riding, it was huge hallway as if never ending, after sometime a window comes with bright sun light and lush green fields, the dog takes leap out of the window and me sitting on it. soon I see myself floating down to the green grassy ground, I dont see the dog anymore and am on my back safe a secured. And I wakeup again in my bed.

A few days later I had another dream,

Dream 3
In the dream I see that having sex with this woman. Just before the act she turns into a demonic witch. who wants to drink me up. And I run away. woke up scared. I still cant forget her face so evil, eyes so evil.

Dream 4

A few days back, I dream that I am being forced into a marriage with a woman I dont know, she is skinny and pale and a very depressed woman, who has lost the meaning of the essence of life. And then I see that I am traveling up into the himalayas, to run away from all. And I see a very beautiful play field right the valley next to the beautiful Ganges. And I remembered how happy I was as a child who would go around with his father on his motorbike. And then when I just turn around I see this woman following me up. And I run into the wilderness of Himalayan ranges just to disappear. And I woke up. I was really Sad when I woke up. Really sad.

Dream 5 Last night

Its a wedding of some cousin of mine, and again this random girl turns up at the wedding , I am sitting in a corner watching how happy everyone was. Seeing my parents smiling. and their unusually bright faces, they still are the perfect couple and been their for eachother like team I thought. This random girl I see isnt exactly a girl, she comes straight to me and says, "happy seeing your parents? kiss me or else I will kill your parents, and make love with me else you will kill them part by part" And then I look into her eyes, same evil eyes. And then I think fast, really fast. And then I tell her that, I have a car may be we should get that act done in the car. She agrees and says, "after making love with me you need to marry me, else I would kill your parents part by part". I agree to her condition, and take her into my car. I tell her that there is an isolated place 3 kms up the hillock, lets go there. She agrees, I take her there, tensed. As if I am nearing the end of my world as I know it. I was thinking of my weekends with my mates and drives with my dad. And all of a sudden, there comes a voice inside me, which says take the car to the hilltop, near the cliff. I do as the voice said, and just tell her to get down. And she gets down, as soon as she gets down I kick her in the butt and push her down the cliff. and watch her smashing like a tomato to death. And again I woke up. As soon as I woke up I cried a bit. I know a 30 year old guy isnt supposed to be crying, but I felt I had enough of these dreams. I am under no medication, I am perfectly healthy male.
Strangely this morning I heard a story from an undergrad student who had a dream last night that some female had been sitting on his chest. with black hair and a mummified face staring at him.

Those are some interesting but creepy dreams right there. If ending these dreams is your goal, I would reccomend trying to become lucid (know that you are dreaming) the next time something similar happens. Say something to yourself before sleeping and think about it throughout the day, say something that will remind you to realize you are dreaming the next time you witness something like what you are describing in the dreams. I think there is some subconscious issue going on in your real waking life, although it may be nothing like the one you are facing in the dream. You need to come to terms with it so to speak, if you become lucid in a dream, instead of fighting and killling the witch like your first instinct will tell you, instead ask the witch/scary person what it represents. This may sound hard, but many experienced dreamers have recommended showing love to dream characters t..hat show hostility towards you, which may change them. This worked for me once, I had a lucid dream and i went outside and decided to explore around, but some small creature with sharp teeth was chasing me around and bit into my hand and wouldn't let go. I tried shaking it off but it wouldn't work. Since I was lucid in the dream, I decided to try showing the creature love by petting it and calling it sweet names :lol: and instantly, the creature stopped biting, started purring like a cat and finally let go of me.

Also, one thing i need to tell you, if you ever find yourself paralyzed in your bed and experience scary hallucinations or a heaviness on your chest, you are experiencing something normal called sleep paralysis which happens to our bodies so that we don't move them when we move in the dream. I think this is what your undergrad friend was talking about, and if you experience something similar, you can do two things, one is try to break out of it. This can be done by focusing on one body part like the toes or fingers and wiggling them until you can move more and more, and another method is to change your pattern of breathing. If you decide to take the harder yet more rewarding route, stay in the sleep paralysis but close your eyes, and try to remain calm, and you will very likely enter a lucid dream where you will be comfortable in confronting this scary being that is haunting you in your sleep. Also, look to see if there are any major unsolved issues in your waking life, but in terms of dream interpretation I can't offer any advice, since I don't interpret. DAMN I wrote alot :)

Hi there, thanks for the advice. I know about this Sleep paralysis phenomena. I have always taken up the hardway many a times. I had many such dreams since childhood. I used to shake my self out of that paralysis phase. Once I decided to get into it, stay in it, then I felt as if god had his hand on my head and telling me a friend of mine is leaving me look at the window, strangely I cudnt see God's face. but the voice wa smy Dad's I know that for sure.

As I looked back at the window, it was me myself dressed in a black attire like the greek gods and black wings. My skin tone jet black. Flew away from the window. And the god says everything will be fine now. wake back to real world.
Since then I realized that its better to go into the paralysis state, no point in restraining it.

You may very well be a natural lucid dreamer then, try using the sleep paralysis to get into a lucid dream. Stay still, and don't open your eyes or try to move, and when you feel a change in your body (its different for everybody) try to get up and see if you are dreaming. From here, confront whatever scary dream situation may occur, and don't just kill whatever is haunting you, as it may just come back, rather try to resolve the issue in the dream and find out what it means. good luck
