      My first LD!

Just woke up from my first lucid dream and it was INCREDIBLE! It took me 3 nights from when I started journalist my dreams and reading about LDs! WILD technique was successful after deciding to take one last try before I started my day, man I was great!

Ah sorry! I was running late for class which is actually why I woke myself up.

But it started when i decided to take one last try at it before i started my day. I remember falling asleep but keeping my consciousness. I felt sort of in a drunk-link state. I remember telling myself that Im still awake and to move my head. I felt my physical head move so i stopped because i didn't want to wake myself up, and told myself to try again but without moving my physical head. I kept trying until eventually i finally felt a weirrrrddd separation because i felt myself move but i also had a feint feeling of my physical body still lying down in bed.

Then I got up from bed and thought to myself, "I DID IT." The first thing i did was walk to my bedroom door and tried to push my fingers through the wall. The wall bent like jello and then my fingers finally pierced the wall. All of a sudden i got super excited, and started again to feel my physical body. I calmed myself down because I remember reading that excitement ends the dream.

I remember walking to my bathroom and accidentally seeing myself in the mirror. I saw myself but thought "ah no don't look". It was a quick look, but i saw myself wearing my peacoat, gelled hair, smile on my face, and a big jimmy neutron sized head.(LOL whatever that means).

Regardless, i walked out the bathroom, looked at my window, ran, and jumped through it. I remember getting a little tangled in my blinds but i finally was able to get out and start flying. I was flying pretty slow, but regardless i was flying and it was amazing.

I flew about 100 feet and i saw my brother-in-law driving in his car. I yelled to him and told him I was flying! He looked at me, laughed, and told me i was stupid, like he wasn't surprised at all. Then i floated down to him, and told him to watch me run super fast. I remember not being able to run superhero fast but more superhuman fast.

Then i remembered I was going to be late for work, so I told myself to wake up, felt my physical body again, opened my eyes, and surprisingly I did.

Can't wait to do it again!

It WAS amazing. I'm sure theres still a lot for me to learn to make it even clearer. I remember one problem i had in my dream was my memory wasn't working very well. I tried to think of people i wanted to go see and i couldn't think of anyone! lol is this normal??

The 1st one is often a gateway. The excitement carries over and will frequently cause a whole slew of LDs immediately after.

Could not have been more than 10 minutes o_0. Do LDs last longer than that?

Congratulations on your first lucid dream!

Like Darkmatters said, after you have your first lucid dream they will come more frequently.

If you remember to use a stabilization technique, you can make your lucid dreams last longer than 10 minutes. I don't know exactly how long they can last, but time usually seems different in a dream. You can have dreams that feel like they last an hour, while you only have been dreaming for 15 minutes.

Have you been practising lucid dreaming for only 3 days, or have you been practising longer but only keeping a dream journal for 3 days?
