Dreaming of my dead dad

So my dad died 4 yrs ago by killing himself. I loved him more than word can explain. He was my rock, my hero! I was devastated by his death, he killed himself over drugs but was clean at the time of his suicide. He had 2 kids. He was goregous && the best dad ever!!! I Guess I have a few questions.

1) why do I only dream about him on occasion? Not often?
2) why do I dream of him?
3) and In my dreams all I can do is look at him, hug, kiss, && just be by him as much as possible??

Is there a message to be seen here? Is there a reason I see him?

First of all, sorry about what happened to your dad. Anyways, I'm more than happy to answer your questions. So here it goes:

1) why do I only dream about him on occasion? Not often?

The things you experience and see in a dream are random. You see here, when a person dreams, past memories and memorable moments clash with each other thus resulting to the formation of dreams. So you can't really have a dream that has the same subject over and over again. But, if you focus enough and order yourself to dream a specific object, then you might just be able to dream that certain object.

2) why do I dream of him?

I think the answer here is clear: Since your dad is one of the most important person to you, You're subconscious is trying to emulate the days where your dad was still alive.

3) and In my dreams all I can do is look at him, hug, kiss, && just be by him as much as possible??

You can probably do those things as long as you want. But remember that there's so much more that you can do inside a dream like flying, teleporting and the like. Or if you want, you can travel with your dad and do all sort of fun stuff

Like what I've said, your subconscious is trying to revive him through your dreams.
