Nightmares every night.
Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum.. I don't believe I've done alot of lucid dreaming, but I do make concious decisions quite often in my dreams even though I can't control anything..
I have had full on LD's before, but not in quite a while... For the majority of my life I have been struggling with nightmares, and night terrors. On average I have two to three memorable nightmares a night that wake me every morning.
And usually once or twice a month I awake scared out of my wits in the middle of the night, in which I shake my husband awake to help bring me back to reality.
I remember when I was younger I would LD sometimes and turn the nightmare into more of a comedy relief dream, like guns turning into candy or what-have-you..
It made me feel more at ease with going to sleep at night.
So, do any of you sleep-professionals have any advice to help me out with my problematic subconcious mind?
Appreciate any input. :)

Hi there my friend,
I think the problem here is that you are letting this nightmares take over you. I suggest you set this nightmares as dream signs for you to be able become lucid. Also, always remember that you are the master of your own dreams. You are more superior than that of your nightmares. Hope this helps :)

It's your dream so it's completely up to you, sounds like a lack of confidence in the control you have to me. Face the nightmare, kick some ass!

Do you keep a dream journal? It seems counter intuitive; if you are having nightmares, you probably want to forget. The problem is, you are having amazingly beautiful dreams, too. You just forget them. Try focusing on remembering and recording all your dreams. Become familiar with the way you dream, and how awesome it can be.
