What is a "Dreams Guide"?

What is a "Dreams Guide"?
simple newbie question, i just heard that more than once, still dont know what it is

A dream guide could be a distinct entity or dream character that shows up in your dreams to help you. Depending on your beliefs, it could be an extra terrestrial spirit or just a 'wise' dream character.

Like what Forceez said above, many people have different views of them. Some believe they are spiritual in nature, while others believe they are just extraordinary dream characters. I personally never met mine yet, and I have read that they don't usually come until you're "ready"

If you are lucid and want to meet yours, what is a good technique is going to a door and say to yourself "When I open this door my dream guide will be on the other side." Open it and see if it worked. Although its not fool proof, you might have to try this a few times for it to work. You have to really believe that your dream guide will be on the other side for it to work.

When you actually encounter them, you can talk to them like a normal person without it saying stupid stuff like. "You know, when its midnight the sun usually comes up and fish start soaring." You can ask it all kinds of questions to make sure its not just another dream character. Hope this helps. :shadewink:

It's a dream character, but one that seems to have more knowledge to impart (because you expect it to). It's just something interesting to attempt to manifest in a lucid dream. Like all dream characters, it's merely a manifestation of your unconscious mind. Some people seem to think their DGs are magical or spiritual guides...I think your DG is whatever you want or believe it to be.
