Flying, drugs, and what is lucid dreaming all about?

Ok so apologizing for my noobing ways, but can someone introduce lucid dreaming too me? I have been recently interested in my dreams, but i have been aware for years that I have been dreaming a little more In depth than others. i can control them, they usually have great symbolism that I can usually look up, or interpret .. (Which makes me happy) i never write them down( i wish i found time) but things(little situations)sometimes happen that i remember dreaming about ..

I have always been annoyed that iv never had a flying dream though ... My sister is very spiritual and has awsome flying dreams, dreams were she talks too spirits including our father who passed aways a few years ago .. But she also does alot of drugs..including DMT ..Anyways I just flew In my dream last night for te first time and I just kept doing it bc I didn't want too wake up lol ..

Do you think the more you think and discuss dreams, and the more open you are too them the more your dreams "talk back" too you? Or is it just our personalitys (for instance I'm a little more open minded and insightful than most ppl i know, and my dreams I feel are a little more intelligent than say, my salon receptionist who just dreams about jersey shores situation .. And lastly, do you think drugs can "open doors" and maybe change the way you dream?

Drugs actually take away from your lucid dreaming experience.
And yes, the psyche of the person greatly affects the content of the dreams. I for one, experience an incredible amount of flying dreams, I associate this to having a free personality.
I would suggest keeping a dream journal, even just to write down the main points. Not only does it help you with memory retrieval, it helps you identify dream signs.
And the more open you are to dreaming and discussing them, and even just thinking about them, the more likely you will induce a lucid one.
      Hope that helped a little.
