Hello
Can't belive I'm actually writing this...
Hello there, I uh.. am kind of new here..
I have a semi-good (i think?) dream recall.. like atleast 1 dream a week.. or not?
I think I only achieved sience I started trying to LD 1 lucid.. but it was short and I still sort of went along with the scenario.. so I guess it was semi-lucid?
I'm having a DJ, irl at the moment... altrough I didn't write in it for some time.. I don't even know why..
I would really like to experience TRUE lucid dreaming with like.. really controls and summoning and DC's and such.. but I can't really get one. Also a thing I noticed once in my dream (long story short, I got up a stair case, with my bike) was that, after I got down, the staircase only had it's upper part there no lower part and I think after I realised that, my dream crushed??
Well, I hope I'll have more LD's by now, and will be able to do the monthly dream mission? I don't think that's how it's called.
...Nothing more I can think of.

Hi and Welcome to DV!
It's a good thing you have a dream journal. You should write in it every day, even if you don't remember much from your dream. It will help you get better at dream recall, which is important, otherwise you may have a lucid dream and not even remember it. Good dream recall is at least one dream a day.
Lucid dream is when you realize you are dreaming - it doesn't matter if you have control or not, it's still lucid. You will get better at control once you learn to stabilize them and have longer dreams.
Your dream may have ended, because you didn't stabilize it - look in DV Wiki for stabilization techniques and lots of other useful info. (first lucids tend to be short, anyway).
Keep at it and soon you'll be able to participate in the task of the month:)

Thanks and yeah, I know about stabilizing the dream, I went through the wiki and some stuff in the forum but that time I forgot to.
Anyway, thanks.
Edit: Planning to stick here as much as possible.

when starting out with lucid dreaming make sure to have a lot of confidence and you should succeed also make sure to do reality checks throughout the day to ensure a better chance of having one while dreaming... welcome to dream views, by the way what did you plan on doing in your first real lucid dream if you dont mind me asking?

Well, first of: a change of scenery I suppose. Teleportz?
My favorite one would be me in a green field, surrounded completely by a forest on a nice sunny day..
Come to think of it, I didn't really plan things through..

Just keep using the dream journal, you have to get higher recall, most people do, to lucid dream, so just keep at it ^_^
be confident and persistent !

lol yeah i wanted to go to the titanic on my first lucid dream but it turned out that all i did was just touch all the things that were in my dream and just got fascinated by how real it was even though it was a dream. :) i have gone to the titanic since then and i plan on rre living memories in the future.

Well if my lucid dream count increases, count me in for a battle with my evil self.. :3
EDIT: WOW, just realised what true False Awakenings are, I mean I often have the hypnogenic imagery and I continue and it simply dissappears, so I think it's just that "I lost the trace". Wow. Gonna try the Finger tehnique (really dirty name, I know) tonight. :D
