Hey DreamViews
I'm new to this site, and I would just like to get to know everyone. Also, when attempting WILD (I have done DILD before, and would like to try WILD) by the slow vibrations do you mean as if my body fell asleep (pins and needles feeling)?
It's sort of difficult to explain my question, that sounded more clear in my head.

Hello welcome iDreamAllDay, hope you enjoy it here, and post away any doubts and experiences you want to share :)
Notice that the body shutting down might not be perceived in the same way for everyone. It depends highly on how fast you fall asleep, and how alert are you to this physical sensations. For example in some WILDs I entered in a dream almost out of the blue (I wasn't focusing on my body or anything) while others I slowly felt vibration, sounds and hallucinations.
What seems to constitute general consensus is that you'll progressively feel your body going numb, like it was very heavy. Your brain during all this process will test to see if you are asleep, in form of noises, needles (that make you want to scratch yourself), occasional feelings of discomfort, or even sensation of pressure on the limbs.
In the end though, you shouldn't be worrying about these, because noticing them tends to make you focus on them. Your goal is to passively go through these events, without stop to wondering if you're close to sleep paralysis or not. It's exactly like normal sleep: the less you think about it, the faster you will fall asleep. One thing that many times I got wrong when trying to get WILD, is that I was worried to perform a WILD. The key is to fall asleep, with the secondary (but crucial) awareness on your intent. You will have a hard time performing WILD if you're more worried about being focused than on relaxing.
It's like an yo-yo: you let it go down without any concerns and just make sure it doesn't crash into the ground by pushing it too late
aka
You relax to the point where you're perfectly comfortable to fall asleep, but keep a small (but always present!) sense of awareness on why you want to fall asleep.

Welcome to DreamViews! If you're jumping straight into WILD I recommend you do as much research as you can on the technique, REM periods, sleep cycles, everything that is related to your success on achieving a WILD.
Personally, I always think it's a good idea not to focus solely on WILD, and to practice the RC's and awareness associated with DILD techniques, and attempt WILD aswell, when you wake up during the night :)
If you haven't already, I recommend reading the Beginner's Guide to Lucid Dreaming and clicking through the links and reading as many tutorials as you can! The more you know and understand the easier it will be for you to lucid dream, knowledge is power! :)
Good to have you part of the forum! Hope you stick around :)
