Introducing Myself
Hi everyone,
I'm new to DV so here's a little about me.
I've had LDs periodically since childhood and enjoyed them greatly. The first one I remember having I took control of a recurring nightmare. Wasn't until my mid-twenties that I discovered techniques for inducing LDs. I was so excited! I was surprised at the quantity, duration, and details I started remembering, and I had pretty good results with MILDs. I used LDs to deal with nightmares, but the really great thing about it was that a whole new world opened up to me.
Then I started taking a medication that interfered with my dream recall, I think because it's so sedating. I went from amazing lucids to nothing. So I got frustrated and gave up. I eventually switched to the XR version that's way less sedating. I started remembering dreams and periodically recording them. I had one LD, not on purpose.
I've just recently found the motivation to work at LDing again. I've been keeping my DJ, and I'm hoping that getting involved here on DV will help get me back on track. I've been lurking around just trying to figure out how everything on the site works.

Hey DreamEngineer, welcome to Dream Views!
Good luck getting back into lucid dreaming. I've had my dips in motivation when it comes to lucid dreaming, and DV certainly does seem to help keep me on track by reminding me why I want to LD. Hopefully you'll find the site helpful too. Feel free to ask any questions you may have and I (or someone else on the site) will try to answer them. =)

:welcome: I hope your dreams return, better than ever.

Hi there my friend,
Welcome to DV. Nice to know that you're motivated again to lucid dream. Just be patient and confident and I'm sure you'll have lucid dreams in no time. if you need help, just post a thread here in the forums or message any of the folks under the Dream Guides category in the Site Leaders List. Good luck :)

:welcome: to Dremviews! I am certain that your LDs will soon return. Since you've already had them it will probably be easier for you to attain lucidy again. What technique do you plan on using? I would recommend MILD and ADA. I personally am using WBTB/WILD for the time being. :)

Heya, welcome!
That's how I also started LD'ing, the nightmare thing... :)

MILD and ADA sound like a good plan. Right now I'm working on my recall (and my patience). I wake up from about four per night, but I'm mostly just getting fragments. If I lie still to see if I remember more, I usually fall back asleep without writing anything down :/
Is there an ADA tutorial?
