Post Falling asleep is all it takes for a successfull wild?

      Hey,
So I have been trying to LD for say a month. This is what i do:

I Get up anytime in the night to empty my bladder. Then i get my phone, Play a relaxing mp3, for about 30 minutes and then i am totally relaxed physically. Once i got a chocking sensation after that. I tried listening to binaural beats (i am weak at spellings, i guess), tries for some 30 minutes, give up and go to sleep after moving about in the bed.
So after hearing the relaxing cd, if a hear a sleeping aid, will it work?
      ANy other sugessions?

      Thanks,

You can listen to anything relaxing, it doesn't have to be binaural beats. Once relaxed just lie still (but not stiff or uncomfortably) and keep your mind aware, don't move around and what not, fall asleep but keep your mind awake.

Last night, i tried for more than one and a half hours before giving up and going to sleep. So i guess, WILD is not the right path for me?

no no , listen anyone can wild , you just really have to find your perfect time. Try experimenting with some times first attempt wild 3 hours after sleep, the next day 4 hours, the next day 5 hours, the next day 6 hours and then repeat the cycle untill you find your time. Just put some effort into finding your time and then youll be able to wild pretty much whenever you want if you do it right.

WILD'ing is a little tough at first - I'm trying to WILD as well, so far I've had Sleep Paralysis 3 times, but no LD's from WILDs.

What I've found is that the whole "Trying to WILD" mindset is counter-productive.
The three times I reached SP went like this.

Wake up after 4:30 hours after going to bed.
Lie awake for an hour "trying" to WILD.
Give up on trying, and decide to go to sleep.
Accidentally reach SP, since I stopped "trying" to WILD, but still had awareness of my thoughts.

Since I had stopped trying to WILD, I was kind of taken by surprise when I reached SP - which caused me to wake up, but I keep experimenting!
Even though I have only reached SP, it felt really awesome as I feel I have made some progress - and I'm certain that I will be successful someday.

      Good luck!
