DC generally means Dream Character here in DV. But if you go outside and ask someone, DC might mean anything. It might mean "District of Columbia", "Doctor of Chiropractic", "Detective Comics", "Dynamic Contrast", "Direct Current", "Device Context", "Data Center", "Dreamcast", "600(Roman Numeral)", "Diet Coke", etc. Hope this helps :)
So in short it means Dream Character! :)
Yep - DC's stands for Dream Characters, it's a really common abbreviation you'll find around the forums.
If you haven't already - I recommending reading the Beginners Guide to Lucid Dreaming. It explains everything about DC's and all the lucid dreaming techniques :)
DC is short for Dream Character. A DC is anybody else who is in your dream except your DG. DG is short for Dream Guide. Your Dream Guide is a person or thing that is your "teacher" in your dream. I would recommend looking at the link Dark_Merlin posted. :)
