First Post/First Lucid
Hey Dreamviews! I've been browsing the site unregistered for the past month, telling myself that I would join once I became lucid at least for a second. Here's a little about my experiences in lucid dreaming:
I started getting interested in lucid dreaming two years ago. I began to keep a DJ and practiced some reality checks. My dreams got very vivid, but after a couple weeks I just sort of stopped. Don't remember why. About a month ago, a very vivid dream resparked my interest. Since then, I've been doing reality checks and reading dreamviews and other web sources regarding lucid dreaming. My dream journal was getting more and more vivid, but I couldn't get lucid. I realized I was trying a different technique almost every night. Two nights ago I decided I would stick with MILD until I became lucid. That very night, it finally worked. I thought repeatedly: "Do a reality check." In my dream, I finally did a nose pinch check (odd cause I hardly did those) and it worked. I became lucid, and it was amazing, how realistic everything was. Unfortunately, I either woke up or slipped back to non-lucidity. Either way, it was great.
So here's to more waking dreams and a good experience on Dreamviews!

Welcome! Just need to work on that dream control. I'd suggest using the nose-pinch technique more often (you said you don't use it much) because personally I've NEVER had it fail on me, but I have had others fail. Oh, and whenever you wake up, make it routine to do a RC so you don't get fooled by a FA.
It's an awesome community, hope you get your second lucid soon!

Welcome to DV ^_^
Sometimes dreaming goes back and forth, sometimes its good, sometimes its difficult. But you just gotta stay confident :3
Congrats on your LD, just keep on trying!
Good luck!

Thanks, both of you!
I do need to work on RCing when I wake up, I feel like that can avoid a lot of FA frustration. And I have began to use the nose pinch as my primary RC, it seems the most reliable.
Just reading DJs on here makes me happy. The fact that such a realistic world limited only by your own creativity seems like a great way to relieve stress. But you guy's have heard all this. See you in the forums :)
