Total Darkness...
I'm great at remembering dreams and I can usually recall 3 or 2 per night. I've started trying to LD about two weeks ago and this is my problem: Everytime I realize I'm dreaming, I go into complete darkness. Sometimes, I think I realize that I am dreaming in that complete darkness. I wait there, without seeing myself or anything else, sometimes even hear voices, and if I try to speak, I hear my own voice. I spin around: nothing. Then, after staying there frustrated, I fall asleep and have a normal dream. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Hey Ubra, welcome again to DV!
Well I have had blackouts after becoming lucid also, but it was because I was just about to wake up. I'm wondering if you can try some experiments, like imagine a flashlight in your hand, then turn it on. Or a TV. Or even imagine a door is in front of you, that even though you can't see it, once you open it, there is daylight on the other side.
See what happens when you do that. I'm curious to know if that works for you.
Good Luck!!!!!!

Oh I've had that experience alot...I HATE blackouts. But as Ophelia suggested there are ways that you can trick your mind out of them and prevent from waking up. I typically find the door method to work...or when you are in the blackness try to spin around and dreamscape will begin to form around you. Once you have stopped spinning you may find yourself in a very different place. Sometimes I can control where I end up...sometimes I can't...and sometimes I spin myself awake even. It just takes practice I suppose.
Good luck. And welcome to the forum!!

Welcome ubra
I remember a few lucid dreams where I have no vision. And one not to long ago.
The way I fixed this was to look at my hands. Then I saw my hands. And the rest of the dream scene suddenly apeared. So that might be something you can trick your subconsious into, to make your vision apear.
The blackout experience is interesting. I assume it is an unconsious state we think ourself into. I wouldn't be fooled into thinking you are really unable to see in that particular dream. I am pretty sure it is something we create and trick ourself to think we are not in control of the vision. Just another part of dream control
