please help

firstly, hi everyone. I'm new to this but dream often and have known to be able to interpret dreams well but i'm struggling with this one...please help.

Basically the only bit I can remember was quite disturbing and I wonder whether the moment I woke up is significant.

I was in living room of the house I grew up in with family (can't remember who) then all of a sudden I hear a loud, piercing baby scream / cry and then a vicious growl from a dog coming from outside. I jump up from the sofa; the screaming gets worse and I know in myself that the dog has eaten the baby. Weird thing is that the baby had the same name as me.

I woke up in a bit of shock and checked the time, proceeded to check facebook. On facebook I had a message only sent 5 min before off a guy I was chatting to before I fell asleep. I've got a little crush on him and we had been exchanging messages some of which were quite flirty. The last message he had sent was different though: he put a x on the end which he had never done before.

Ultimately I want to know the meaning of the dream; but secondly is there a link with this guy and my dream??

Hmm I don't know, dreams can have different meanings, or no meaning at all. What do you think it represents? Symbols in dreams , mostly, have no universal meaning. Its more of a personal thing with the ones who dream it.
Why would this guys message affect the dream?
Anyway, if you have any other questions feel free to ask~

The dream may have had a meaning, but I think that guy sending you a message with an x has nothing to do with it.
