I don't know a great deal about this but I do know that our breathing switches from one nostril to the other nostril every two hours. I assume it has something to do with the assimilation of prana and the ejection of apana.
Didn't the lucidity institute try to track brain hemisphere dominance and sleep position using this? I remember reading their study years ago. Maybe that is the one this article is referring to.
Cool article, I wonder if this has to do with the balance of our chemicals in the body.
Because I have a cold now, I am happy if I am able to breath through either nostril :). Normaly it changes from left to right every few hours. Sometimes I can feel a weak breath in the other, too.
Wonder what does tell about people (like me) who breathe through their mouth :shock:
