      Fall Asleep Faster???

Is there anyway to fall asleep faster because I try to go to sleep while being awake and I feel like I'm spinning and I cant fall asleep......what do I do? because I try to remain as calm as possible and naturally fall asleep but I cant because I'm so excited looking forward to another lucid dream....HELP!

Try sleep medication...other than that, just be patient, & relax until you can fall asleep in a LD!

Another thing is you need to get rid of some stress in your life. There could be something bugging you. Examine your life and eliminate your problems.

easy, just smoke weed 2 hours before bed and you will be out in no time. yes weed is a safe natural sleep medication (among many other things the government and pharmacy/doctor drug dealers dont want you to know about). it is good for mind and body.

i noticed last week i was having a little trouble falling asleep compaired to my usual ease. yes i stopped smoking weed before bed and as soon as i realized this i started smoking right before bed again and now im out like a light. when you start to come down from a high it is very easy to fall asleep.

I use herbal sleeping pills as they don't affect the dream.
      Yeah. I'm a noobie.

It is important to clear your mind before sleeping... or at least I have found it is... because when you go to sleep, if you have too many thoughts at once, you sometimes get all these fragments of dreams that go by really fast and it's hard to sort of focus in order to realize that you're in a dream. I'm not saying it's impossible, and maybe you're the kind of person that can do this, but it is better if you can sort of find a spot in your dreams and realize that you're dreaming.

i agree with Catlover on this one...i don't feel that any kind of medication, herbal or otherwise is the way to go.
Tips that work for me, to help me fall asleep.
Try to have a night time routine, that you follow before going to bed. Try and get to bed at the same time each night if possible (i find this difficult to do, as i do shift work, but i can make it work if i'm on a block of late starts)
Have something to eat, like a bowl of cereal...It's light, but it fills you up (i can never go to bed hungry)
Also, if there is something bothering you, try talking it out with someone during the day (doing it before bed may result in you being up all night ) or failing that, write it down.
I keep a journal, which i write in almost on a daily basis, whenever i feel there's something in my head i need to get out.
Oh yeah, and one other thing. If you don't need to be up in the morning, don't set your alarm. I find it jolts me right out of sleep and messes with my recall.
      Hope this helps!
And by the way, Welcome to the board! You've been here a couple of days so far, how are you liking it?

I think having a regular sleep schedule helps, and reefer, definately. I have the most restful night sleep smokeing it. I usto feel quilty advocating it, but the worst it will do is make you lazy, but that you can fight, or just smoke it in the evening when it will wear off by morning. Sad thing it's illegal, and if you're stupid it will ruin your life, via the law.

well that's great, glad you are enjoying yourself, and it's even better that you have a friend who understands where you're coming from on the lucid dreaming front...i talk to my mates in real life about it and they go 'uh?'
as if i'm a little mad...

Surely that's a misconception...How on earth is LD'ing perverted? and why should people think that..
Jay Dawg, do you have some interest in the Society of Freemasons?
I'm pretty sure your avatar is the symbol of the Freemasons...

Hey that is 100% false. I have talked to everyone I know about Lucid dreaming. That includes my family, friends, classmates, everyone. And you knwo what? I have yet to meet a single person who isnt fasinated by the idea ebacse they have all had some themsleves before. Most people just wnat to leanr more about thier dreams and what they mean, and how to gain a deepr understanding of themsleves... Maby Im just Lucky... I rememebr last year my history teacher used to teach our class how to Lucid Dream. He was my faveritoe teacher fomr that point on. haha. So go, Tell everyoen about Lucid dreaming, and I am sure they will be fasinated and enchanted by the skill.

inserests? i guess u could say that. i am rather fasinated of the existance of the illuminati. i feel i have become their secret agent doing their biding unwillingly. but who isnt hah! anyway IM pretty sure its the symbol of the most kickass metal antigovernment band Burnt by the Sun.

let me set this strait, i IN NO WAY imply that lucid dreaming is at all perverted in any way. in my personal case whenever i tell someone they freak out or something. i am stoned off my ass and it just dawned on me that we are born without clothes on so why are we wearing them we are just animals with programming. yea ignore that lmao
