Hello!
Hello, my name is John, I am 15 years old and I recently heard about lucid dreaming, I have not attempted lucid dreaming yet but I hope to soon. I am still looking for tips and other people's experience to help me with the process. One thing I am wondering about is what the best and worst things to do just before sleep are.
Thank you for reading this and I hope to become an avid member of this community.

Hey John, welcome to DreamViews!
To answer your big question, the best and worst things to do before you go to bed kind of depend on which induction technique you end up choosing (look here for the different techniques on how to attain lucidity: Induction Techniques. Mainly, as long as you get enough sleep, and think positively and believe you can achieve lucidity, the only 'wrong' things you might stumble over would be stress, illness, drugs.. basically anything that would interfere with a good night's sleep.
Anyhow, read over those techniques and see what suits you the best. Alot of beginners choose the MILD technique. Good luck and never hesitate to ask me or another staff member if you have any questions :)

Welcome John! I think the best thing you can do for lucid dreaming is read about it as much as you can. So when you go for it, you know what to expect and what to do about it. Don't worry if it seems like a lot of information. Pick one of the methods ( I would recommend MILD for dreams called DILDs, plus reality checking, mantras and daytimes awareness training http://www.dreamviews.com/f49/sat-sp...puffin-100798/) and then read more about it. You will be surprised, how much of the tips you will remember once you end up in lucid dream. Believe in yourself and KNOW, that you will have LD. Happy dreams:)
