Can I see my lover again in a dream?What else can I do?

I have been forbiden from seeing him.I love him sooooooooo much.I want to be able to lay with him,see his face.My memory has blocked it because of the trauma his forced departure.Could I tell him about the baby he would have had,and get a response HE would actually give?Also can I learn Japanese through lucid dreams?Martial arts?Dancing? Those are things I have been around long enough I imagine they would be in my subconscious.Thak you for your answers....even though I am not getting that far I still want to know for some added encouragement.

I don't know if you can learn Japanese but you could certainly reinforce images you see and information you have acquired, allowing you to speak better Japanese, or dance with more fluid motions.

As with anything, whether it be dreaming or dancing, the more you practice the better you get!

You cant learn something in a dream that you dont know already, maybe reinforcing memories is possible.
Of course you can dream about your lover.

You could see him and talk to him but it wouldn't be real. As for the skills, you could use lucid dreaming to HELP you learn them but you can't learn the skill completely just by lucid dreaming. You have to have some knowledge about it in order to practice it. I have used lucid dreaming to practice acting and study for tests. :)

Indeed, you could dream about your lover, and he would be EXACTLY how you think of him....after all, he'd materialise appearing and behaving in accord with his impression on your subconscious. His responses will likely be in accord with how you think he would respond - so, if you really know him, he will respond how he probably would in real life.

As for the rest, practice makes perfect. The following is a generalisation: dreams can be used to practice, but not to learn. That is so say, as others have said, to reinforce and refine a rudimentary behaviour or cognition, but not to encounter novel stimuli in said field. As I said, this is a generalisation...you can't expect to come into Japanese words in the dream, and then find them in waking life; however, you can invent some mad dance technique or watch a DC perform one, and then carry this to waking life.

To be honest, if the system is rigid and structured and has rules (novel language learning)...dreams won't be much help, but if the system is creative and generally unbounded (dance), dreams will be a nice stimulating addition.
