First LD + Introduction
Hi I am new to this site and would like to formally introduce myself. After trying for over two weeks I finally had my first lucid dream. I was in some sort science lab just looking. But from using MILD before going to bed I realized this place wasn't real and must be dreaming. Immediately after becoming lucid a man in a dark gray coat knocked on the lab door and asked me to do some job for him (sorry I don't remember what). I quickly closed the door and decided to test what I could. I imagined he would turn into the grinch when I opened the door (it was the first thing I could think of). Sure enough I opened the door and the grinch just walks into the lab. In my excitement I ended up waking myself up :(. But getting my first LD is something to be proud of.:)

Absolutely, good job! :D Welcome to Dreamviews!
Keep doing whatever it is, because surely it is working :) Make sure you keep a dream journal as becoming lucid and forgetting what happened can be very frustrating. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to PM me!

MILD is working! Good job. Now, remember this excitement and recall it every time you think about your next lucid. Your mind will learn to associate LDs with you being happy and will help you achieve both. I would recommend you check out this tutorial on daytime awareness SAT - sporadic awareness technique It's a great thing to add to MILD. Happy dreams:)

Wonderful job on your Lucid experience!
Welcome to DreamViews, may your stay be long and wonderful.
If you ever need any help with anything, there are lots of good people on here willing to help and give good advice.
You should give the Dream Journal a try, it's a useful tool to help remember and recall your dreams.
It's also interesting to read about what other people are dreaming about!
