Forgive me if this has been posted, looked around and couldnt find it anywhere.
Firstly, i have read up alot about lucid dreaming and i simply dont understand how u can do a reality check while in a dream because it doesent even cross my mind andd even if it did would that mean as soon as i did a reality check i would become lucid?

Reality Checks are a good doorway into lucidity but it doesnt mean you will become 'lucid' all the time. If you start performing reality checks while your awake it might tranfer into your sleeping state and therefore create a level of lucidity you can tap into (if your not a natural lucid dreamer like myself its a good tool).
The point is to do Reality Checks all the time, ESPECIALLY when you are awake. If you do Reality Checks every 2 minutes while you are awake, it will set up such obsessive habit that you will eventually do a reality check while you are dreaming, and you will realize you are dreaming.Quote:

Just look at your hands. Dream hands CHANGE when you look at them. But there must be a Tutorial on this Page somewhere about Reality Checking.
In the acronym list it describes a RC and also points you to the reality check tutorial!Quote:

I think that Leo Volent pointed out the most important thing about RCs. To make it habitual during the day. Making it more likely for it to accur during your dream.
And once you do a reality in your dream lozbritt and prove to youself that you are in a dream, then yes! You will find yourself awake in your dream! :)
