      Hello!

      Hello All,

I'm new to this site and lucid dreaming. I've been really into lucid dreaming for the past month or so, scouring the internet for as much information as I could find. As far as I can tell this is one of the best LD communities out there so I figured it was time I registered!

Like I said, I've been practicing LDing for about a month now, and I've proud to say that I've had 3 very solid LDs in that time. In each I was able to stay in the dream for long enough to explore and try out some cool tricks (Flying, portal gun etc.). My Dream Recall is becoming very good, I remember several dreams per night, but the hardest thing about LDing for me so far is keeping a DJ. I just never feel like filling one out when I wake up. That, and I don't actually have a physical DJ yet.

Anyway, nice to meet you all!

      Welcome to DreamViews, Blandge!

It's good to see that you're already making progress. What induction technique have you been using?

I understand why you don't really feel like keeping a dream journal. However, keep in mind that if you stop keeping a dream journal, it will likely have a bad impact on your dream recall.

If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask!

Hello and welcome to the forum. You can always start your own dream journal here, even if you don't have a physical one.

Hello! Blandge. I'm new here too and am reading all the newbie posts - or trying to read many of them rather. I used to keep DJ and it was hard to force myself to put pencil/pen to paper to scribble down my dream. Yet, once I finally gave in and did so, I found I remembered more dreams, more often. I can't say that I've had as many LD's as you, but I have had recall of many, many dreams. Kudos to you for trying and sticking to it! Nice to meet you and sweet dreams.

I practice MILD every night but all of my LDs have been DILD. Whats defines a successful MILD?

The DILD technique generally focuses on reality checks during the day, with the intention that this will carry over to your dreams. The MILD technique is similar to this, but instead of spending a lot of time during the day doing reality checks, you only focus on your intention as you are going to sleep.

Whether you're using the DILD technique or the MILD technique, you will become lucid during the dream by recognizing a dream sign or doing a reality check. So the main difference between the two techniques is when you use it (during the day for the DILD technique, at night for the MILD technique).
