Hello everyone, my name is Jonathan and i started my dream journal on the 12th of April 2012(about 8 days ago) and i believe i had my first lucid dream today during a midday nap. It wasn't very long, i believe i got to excited and woke up:( I'm just confused because i have not started to do reality checks yet. Any thoughts anyone?

It's great that you've started your dream journal - lucid dreams do not have to be initiated by reality checks, reality checks can just often help :) Sometimes when thinking about lucid dreaming enough, lucid dreams can happen spontaneously. However, in my experience, this isn't frequent at all. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask~
Hello Jonathan, congratulations for your first lucid! It's normal to wake up from the excitement of the first LD's, but you'll find with experience that you'll get better, I know it :)
