      Good day (night) to you!

I have been trying to do lucid dreaming just with tutorials from internets for probably one year. I used to be good in dream recall. But then... I don't know what happened, I can't now remember anything at all from night.

I had my greatest dreams a year ago, none of them was lucid. There were dreams like one about meaning of life, me inventing things for comptetition or meeting terminator, really awesome dreams. And now there is nothing when I sleep, just a while of darkness between falling asleep and waking up in the morning. I would probably need help with that at first.

Informations from dreaming: 2 false awakenings, 0 lucid dreams, nothing from extraordinary stuff like OBE's or Astral stuff.

Info from waking life: I like playing football (by that I mean soccer, I am European), poker (texas hold'em), chess and computer games. I used to play the piano, then it got boring. I am still somehow able to play it, at least a bit. I like Minecraft, AC series, Portal 1 and 2 and played WoW for a little while (Blood Elf Paladin). I am also learning psychology of personality by myself. INTP 5, if you ask me.

I look forward for visiting this forum! Hello world and everyone!
(but first, if you would be that kind - where can I find out why don't I have any dreams anymore?)

Hi darude11, welcome to DV. It's great that you're interested in lucid dreaming. You should definitely keep trying until you get one, or at least learn the right methods and trying a bit before giving up.

Everybody dreams at night, so your problem is that you're forgetting them. Do you keep a dream journal? If not, you should definitely start with one to build up your recall. It might sound tedious and pointless, but for some reason it really works. Record anything, even if you don't remember your dreams at all. Any vague feelings about what any dream might have involved could help. You could also try setting an alarm so that you wake up during a REM period, making it more likely that you'll remember whatever dream you've just awoken from.

There really isn't much of a point in trying to LD using other methods until you can at least remember a good portion of your dreams, or else you may have LDs but not remember them.

INTP is one of my favorite personality types.

      Welcome to DV!

I second everything Dianeva said. Her words are wise!

Be patient. I always find I remember my dreams best when I wake up after about 5.5 hours to use the bathroom. I sit, I pee, I remember.

Write down the details, even if it's just "trees and rocks."

      Good luck!

Thank you for welcoming! In fact I was keeping Dream Journal for some time, but then I had nothing to write about, I suddenly stopped remembering anything at all, so I was like "It's pointless, I can't remember anything!" and stopped it. Sadly, it contained almost all my dreams and I lost it. I didn't knew I should write also when I don't remember any dream at all, thanks for tips!

All right, I have found my long lost dream journals and made myself a little database on my home computer. What I am worried about is, if I really should connect almost all of them into one big DJ entry on this site or not, because most of them are just one line long. I mean - am I allowed to group them like that?

You are allowed to write in your Dream Journal any way you wish.

If they're just one line, and you're only uploading them to have a start there, feel free to put them in one post.

Or you could just start tomorrow and write everything from here on.

      It's all up to you.

Read a few, and get a feel for them if you wish.
