Hello from Sweden!
Hi all!
I'm a male from Sweden living a normal life with my girlfriend, going to work, playing video games etc :) Overall i'm happy with my life, but from time to time i can get very introvert and antisocial, mostly due to oversensitivity and low self esteem. Looking into LD i'm hoping to learn and improve things about myself. That being said, i'm not at all religious or into New Age stuff.
This monday, i was reading a story posted at reddit/Nosleep about Lucid Dreaming. It was the first time ever i heard about LD, and that story really got me interested. So the last couple of days i've been reading up on this and i don't really know what to think. I mean, all this just seem to good to be true! Truely amazing stuff! So i have decided to really put some time into this and give it a go. One thing is for sure though, i've felt really excited and happy since i learned about this 'phenomena'.
For the past two days i've regulary been doing RCs like looking at my hands and digital watches, and repeating mantras. This really seems to work as i have remembered a lot of regular dreams the past two nights, and i have written them down in my journal. This last night as i was almost about to fall asleep, i felt this emense feeling of excitement or pressure in my stomack, like thousands of butterflies. It felt so strange it actually made me wake up again, and i got a little scared. Oh well, keeping this up i'm really hoping to experience a LD.
Tips are more than welcome :)

Hey :D
I found lucid dreaming by forum as well, it was a sketchy WILD technique on a picture, it was funny reading the responses of people to it (they didn't have a clue). But yeah I was hooked instantly!
Sounds like you have got your technique nailed, see what works for you and reflect on it! Make sure you keep your recall up to scratch.
If you need anything send me a PM :D

Hey Sublevel, welcome to DV.
You've done your research. Mantras and RCs are a good start to trying to lucid dream. :) If you want a little instruction, the forum has a couple of classes, one of which is being taught by Arch! Feel free to browse around. Other than that, just thinking and reading about it will be good. It was a good idea for you to join this forum. The more you read or talk about LDing, the more it'll be on your mind, and the more likely you'll think about it while sleeping!

Great to hear from people with experience!
Still no LD, but i think i might be getting closer. Last night i dreamt i was talking to my brother about SP! The conversation was very short though, and my dreams in general are not so vivid. But i do remember quite alot when i wake up. Will try and be patient and continue with RCs, mantras and daily awareness :)

Glad to read you've seen a little bit of progress! Keep at it, Sublevel!
