Perspective
Hi there,
I actually never had absolute control over a dream, although temporary control was possible for me from time to time. I know why this is happening and that's not why I'm writing this.
I saw that you answered on the last thread that prophetic dreams are not possible from your current perspective, and that's ok, but I happened to have glimpses into some future events, a form of extended deja vu. My problem is that I cannot control those dreams, they are too strong, and probbably I was not meant to control them, but if there was a way to extend my sight, perspective of those types of dreams then I think a lot of doors would become open. I know other people have these types of dream's as well that's why I've come here.
Sorry for my bad english :)

Hello, Welcome to DV!!!!
Yes, they can be, but not always, hence not consistent and there the theory fails.
To my knowledge, dreams are the imagination of our own mind. What u see in a dream is a stage set by our own imagination.
With this reality approach, you can explore your world, find new worlds, and get new ideas.

Everyone has different goals. Even if your end goal is, technically, impossible, you can still enjoy the journey.

Visions of future events, even if they come true, are likely going to be based on current information in your brain. Your mind takes all those little pieces of information and uses it to make guesses about all kinds of future events, from what you may be doing in a week to what is for dinner.
In dreams, some of those guesses we make are bound to actually happen, seeing as how they are based on our real life experiences and the information contained in our mind. Future appointments, expected experiences, it's all in there.
In the future, if you wish to reply to someone directly you can respond in the thread you saw their post or you can click on their profile image and send them a Private Message. You are more likely to get a response from them directly in either case.

Hi there again,
Thank you so much for your quick response, they were very helpful. I was wondering if you could direct me to some literature that helped you achieve better understanding of LD. It would be nice if you could leave a link or a title and I would search the local libraries :) Of course the best way to achieve control is not in any of the books but in experience, but still I would like to know :)
Sorry for my bad english :)

Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming. This is pretty much the gold standard when it comes to lucid dreaming. It includes many sub topics on lucid dreaming as well as other mind related things other than LDs. This is the book that set the ground rules for modern lucid dreaming as we know it. I highly recommend it.
Also, read around on the forums. Read various topics and ask any questions you may have. DV is one of the largest knowledge bases in the world (and maybe the largest :cheeky:) and the best part is you can ask any questions you may have and people with years of lucid dreaming experience will be happy to help in any way they can. There are also various tutorials and even experiments/projects going on which continue to push the boundary of this unique experience.
P.S. Your english is fine, much better than some native english speakers I know
