Dreams very vague
I've never had a lucid dream before, but I've tried many times to have one. I've heard a lot of people say that you need good dream recall to have a lucid dream, and I do. Although, my dreams are very vague, so I don't remember a lot of details, and it seems to skip. It seems like all of my dreams are very blurry, for the most part. Along with being black and white. They aren't always like this, but most of the time they are. Can anyone help me make them more vivid?

There are a few tricks that will help increase your vividness
- Journal every day, even if you just remember a tiny fragment, record it in as much detail as possible. Eventually, your mind will realize that detail is important. This site has an awesome dream journal application, but there are other means of recording as well. A physical journal is the most commonly used, however, I find voice recording to work best for me.
-Use a mantra before sleep something like "My dreams are clear and vivid". Using a mantra to induce lucid dreaming is called MILD (here's a guide on in in case you're interested- http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/naiyas...hnique-119050/) but mantras can be used for more than just attaining lucidity. Just remember to keep out all negative words (no, not, never, etc) and have your mantra be short and simple.
-Drink a glass of milk every night before bed, trust me, it helps.

Some dreams are more vivid than others, but that is probably not the main problem. Your dreams are probably fine. Your memory is the bottleneck. You are not remembering the detail. Try to improve your dream memory using some of the excellent advice from OctoberWind.

What really helped me was yoshi's all day awareness guide: http://www.dreamviews.com/f49/all-da...gyoshi-113253/ and I also drink 1-2 glasses of apple juice before I go to bed. My dreams are very vivid. I can remember so many details. You should give it a try. Goodluck! :)

The ADA idea has merit. It does not need to be that version, but you need to become hyper aware during the day. Also, your brain can be developed like any thing. It has put little into visialization so far, but it will adapt if you practice. Learn some basic meditation, and try doing a couple guided visualzation meditations. I am sure there are many in MP3 form. Get good at guided visualization and I bet your dreams become much more vivid, as you will have worked on that part of your brain.
