Hello guys and gals!:)
I'm relatively new to lucid dreaming, I didn't even knew it was possible to control our dreams before watching Inception and researching a bit about the topic, although I had a very scary experience as a small child, a freaky dream about my grandmother who passed on, when I realized I was in a dream and struggled to wake up.
I didn't use to remember most of my dreams, but as I started a dream journal a few days ago my ability to recall dreams has dramatically improved and it's seems that my dreams are magically getting more exiting and vivid too, and this morning I failed WILDing but had an awesome dream, sadly as I realized that I was dreaming I got too excited and woke up. Now that I developed an interest in lucid dreaming and I'm looking forward to learn a lot here, wish me luck!
:D

Welcome to dreamviews :D Lucid dreams are amazing and you should't let fear stop you from achieving them :)
And don't feel bad about WILDing.. I've tried it countless times and failed, I'd suggest practicing MILD & DILD

Thank you!
That's what I plan to do, WILD actually seems pretty difficult to me as a beginner who doesn't know much about relaxation techniques, I can't seem to shut down my awareness of the surroundings and always end up frustrated and annoyed, and then I'll just decide that sleeping is a lot more pleasant thing to do and give in.

Welcome to DV :)
WILD is quite a complex technique to start with which is why I recommend trying another technique if you don't get it the first few times, you can always come back to it later. The fact that you have already had a lucid is great and I'm sure you will have many more, nonetheless I wish you luck in future lucid exploration :D

Thank you! I'll keep my fingers crossed this wasn't just beginner's luck, since I didn't become aware by using a reality check, the realization just popped into my head out of nowhere.

Yup that can happen sometimes, but it's not reliable enough to induce lucidity :P
