'Ello! :D
I'm Vanessa, a nerdy young woman from Canada who loves to write and is in love with the tv show Supernatural and horror movies. :3
I've always been fascinated with dreams, and as a child I used to have lucid ones quite often. One of the earlier ones I can recall I spent my time in the middle of a country road, pinching myself and twirling around because I was afraid I had been sleeping too long. A dream character sat on a rock watching me nearby, suggesting ways to wake myself up. The dreams used to be really vivid too.
If only I knew then what I do now, eh? Would've spent it flying around or something...Anyways, the past year or two I haven't been having as many lucid dreams and my recall sucks, so I figured why not get back on track and join a community about it. Annnnd here I am. :D
See you guys around! :offtobed:

Hey Cookie, and welcome to Dreamviews! Im from down South. I live in the USA. Jealous? Jk haha :)
Same with you, I wish I would have known about lucid dreams as a kid too, so my LD's weren't spent trying to wake up haha.
Anyways, since you say your recall sucks, you should start a dream journal if you don't have one already. It might seem pointless, but having one and using it everyday tells your brain that dreams are important to you. It doesn't take long to write down the dreams you remember in the morning, and it 's worth it when you can recall multiple dreams per night! Also you don't want to forget a LD! I've forgotten a LD before because I didn't think I'd need to write it down.
And one more thing you should be doing reality checks a lot during the day so when you are in a dream you become lucid.
If you ever have any questions, you can ask anybody or even PM me, I'd be happy to help anyone. :)

Hello cookie, welcome to DV! So you still have LDs occasionally? How often do you usually have them?
I'm sure your dream recall will improve quickly. Read some of the tutorials around here if you haven't already, they're very informative! The main reason I joined DV was to help motivate me. I knew that I'd get lazy if I didn't have other people to talk to about LDing, I think DV has been very helpful for me. I hope it's just as helpful for you. :)
