      Talking Hey :) I'm Chelsea...first LD!

      Hello and good morning

Just a quick introduction, my name is Chelsea (obviously) and I've been interested in lucid dreaming for a few years now although I've never attained lucidity. Until last night!!

It was completely random; a DILD. Basically I drove to an area I didn't know then parked and walked to a house. When I got there I wanted to go back and get my car so I could bring it up and park it outside. I tried to think about where I'd left my car and my mind was blank. Then I thought to myself "hang on, how did I get here?" and for the life of me I couldn't picture how I'd ended up in this area. Then I realised I was dreaming. The words "oh my God, I'm dreaming!" actually left my mouth. I then walked over to a brick wall and touched it, making me overly excited, which in turn made the dream go blurry and then I was randomly walking down another street, apparently unaware I was dreaming. Damn.

But anyway, I'm happy I did it and now I want to do it more often! Can't wait to learn more about this.

So yeah, that's me, I ramble. Looking forward to speaking with you all and getting involved.

Hey Chelsea, welcome to DV! Glad to hear about your first LD, they're the best! But they get better and more controllable as you have more LD's. Just keep doing reality checks and you'll have lots more lucid dreams soon!

Hi, Chelsea, welcome to the forum!

We have quite a few members from your side of the pond. You already met Nito, and Wolfwood is also an active member not too far from you.

Congratulations on the lucid dream! I can suggest checking out a couple of the tutorials in our WIKI to help maintain those lucid dreams:

Dream Stabilization and Clarity Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

Reality Check Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

The information in the tutorials is designed to help you realize you are dreaming and stay in the dream longer.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Post in a thread or send one of the staff (like me) a private message by clicking on our profile name. You'll know us by the stars near our name.

      Happy dreams!

Hey, Chelsea, welcome to the forum!

My first Lucid Dream was three years ago, but I still remember it like it was yesterday. I didn't do much in my first one either, but they get longer with experience.

Good luck with your techniques and your dream journal. Again, welcome to Dreamviews!

Your first lucid is usually the one that you remember most (and the most fascinating one in my case). Welcome to the forum and enjoy the community

      Thank you all so much

I woke up in the middle of the night for a drink and when I went back to bed, I attempted WBTB. I got close a couple of times, my body got heavy and I heard weird things but I kept getting excited and then I must have just passed out.

I'm just going to do my dream journal and reality checks for a while so I can get used to questioning my surroundings and recalling my dreams.
