Deaf people have on their sights and smell. I can smell a person coming in or leaving many rooms away especially when my mom used to smoke when I was a teenager. I came home from high school years ago every day before my mom would come home from her job and I am upstairs in my bedroom on one end and she would come in on first floor on the other end. We lived in a Cape Cod style house. The door to get in was on the side from breezeway between house and garage. I just develop it. A person has 5 senses, right? If you lose one, you gain the rest or one of the other more of a strength. It balanced it out. That is why with the Deaf, it is sign language they use and visual more often like when they are driving cars, trucks, etc. The Deaf, note captialized D, are good with eye-hand coorindation. Depends on who though.
Hey Stephen Hawkings has so severe disabled but has a brain that is functioning and a real bright man. Austism.. people with that disability seem to have a mind that is awesome while it is handicapping some communication skills. I could go on but you get the idea.
You said a magician. Doing magic shows or are you more of a mentalist? I have developed that too. Have to because of behing Deaf, visual is gained for me.
