      Post Hi there

      Hi, I'm Paperplane

Im so happy I found this place.

I've been following threads here for a little while now and tried different techniques to induct LDs. This morning I finally succeeded . A DILD with WBTB and MILD. I have tried this combination for a week or so now, but what did the trick this morning might have been the combination with isochronic tones, which I didn't try before. Or maybe it was just luck this time. But I will try this again tonight to see if it was just random luck or not

      /Chris

Great job with your first lucid! WBTB with MILD and DILD, is a really good combination! Oh yeah, and welcome to Dreamviews Chris!

And good luck with tonight's attempt at a lucid dream! I hope it goes well!

      Heyy! Welcome to Dream Views.

WBTB+MILD is my favorite, which isn't of any importance to this reply, just saying LOL

      Good to have you here!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

Hey paperplane, welcome to DV. Congrats on your first lucid dream! Care to tell us what it was like?

I also tried isochronic tones while falling asleep, and they also seemed to work for me. Unfortunately, I could not experiment with them in the long-term, but for the short time I used them I found them helpful.

Caenis, I will post it in my dream journal

But it sure was more vivid than other dreams I've had lately! It was strange because I simply know I was in a LD, but then started to doubt it because some people in my dream told me I wasn't. I tried to pull my finger through my left hand, but I could not do it, so i got worried and pinched my nose. I couldn't breath. "What is this?". Then I read the text of a can of beans twice and this RC worked
Maybe I didn't believe enough in my first two RCs?

Welcome, I doubt it was luck but rather your hard work paying off. You need to believe your RCs although I also found it difficult in the beginning. Nobody wants to try fly an find out that it's actually reality

      Anyway good luck

Haha, I ran into a screen door when I was a kid. It was dark, and I think I broke the screen. That was surprisingly painful. Embarrassing too.

I'm glad that you thought to use multiple RCs! Sometimes with me the first RC doesn't work. Like with the nose plug RC, it's really difficult to tell if it works the first time because I don't feel anything. If I pinch my nose a second time, then that's when I'll feel the air moving through my nostrils. When I RC in reality, I've gotten used to using my RCs more than once, just to make sure I was paying attention to the result. You might find that various RCs work better or worse for you as well. It's just one of those things that you'll need to experiment with and see what works best for you.

It's possible that you didn't believe enough in your RCs, but I think it's more likely that certain RCs work better for each person. What's important is that you were aware enough in your first LD to keep RCing until you had proof that you were dreaming. That's great, good job.

I look forward to reading your first LD!
