      Greetings!

Hey everyone, my name is Justin. I've been a lurker for about a week now, and I feel like my time to emerge into the community has now come.

I can't honestly say that I have been a consistent dreamer for a long time. I've known about lucid dreaming for awhile, but I only recently stumbled upon it with seriousness recently. I've always been a fan of the human brain, and as of late I've really been pondering the idea of getting in touch with my subconscious self. Ergo, I did a Google search for "How to get in touch with your subconscious". The concept of astral projection immediately intrigued me. I discovered lucid dreaming also. This site has come up numerous times in my searches related to those topics, and it had already provided me with a great wealth of information.

I've been at it for about a week now - working on a dream journal when I can and saturating my thoughts with articles and ideas of dreaming and hopes of what may be astral experiences or at least dreams that I think are astral experiences. I can tell my dreams are much more vivid, and I am able to recall them better already. I don't think I have become quite lucid yet, but I definitely feel more grounded and real in some of my dreams. I've even experienced some very strange things thus far. It is all very exciting - even the failures.

Needless to say, I'm happy to be here, and I look forward to exploring everybody's ideas with an open mind, literally.

Interesting fact: I'm have a night job as a mall cop, so I'm by myself a lot. It is nice to get paid to practice my dreaming and meditation. In fact, the first time I tricked my body into sleep paralysis(via a method from this site) was in a massage chair here. In fact, I'm at work now, and I'm going to go practice some more. Cheers!

Welcome! Of course, you've been here longer than I have, since I just showed up here tonight, but ....

Have worked security, myself, in the past (so it still regularly shows up in my dreams.)

I do some lucid dreaming on occasion, but only a few times a year. Once or twice I've 'techniqued' my way into it, but usually I just notice I'm dreaming.

Certainly cool stuff to get into, though!

A lot of my most vivid dreams even before these endeavors have been about this blasted place...... Lol

I have been trying to practice various techniques because I would love the ability to WILD and AP/OBE. I haven't gotten my reality checks quite down though, so when I dream it feels like a clear dream, like I know it is a dream, but I don't acknowledge it. Some dreams the last week have felt lucid even though I don't believe I had control.

I'd like to point out, posting to you before I went to sleep last night just might be responsible for my being a mall cop in my dreams last night for a few minutes. Posted it in my dream journal.

      Just saying!

Aha! I know that feel, bro. I'm about to go to bed, and it is fresh in my mind also. I'm still used to it, hopefully any dreams I have of the place will be pretty interesting. They usual are somehow. Thinking back about some of my mall dreams I'm kinda looking forward to it actually...
