Brand New LDer
Hi guys, I guess I wouldn't be an LDer yet because I've never had one but I would love to. I only just started looking into LD at the beginning of the week. So far I've been practicing my RCs during the day and at night, before and when I wake up half way through, I've been practicing my WILDing. My problem with WILDing is i believe right before i enter SP, my mind wanders off too far on the images i see and when i realize this I "wake up" in a sense and lose a lot of my progress. I just read an awesome thread about MILDing and I am going to try that in mix of WILDing. Im hoping that will help me achieve my first lucid dream.
Well thank you to all the posters that have helped me thus far. I know soon i will be having LDs.

Welcome to the forum!
I was going to suggest MILD instead of WILD for your first attempts but you already know of it. I would suggest sticking with one technique for a few weeks before attempting another. Sticking to one may help your focus.
I can also suggest writing your dreams and attempts down in a dream journal or Workbook, either at home or on the forum. This can help organize your dreams and what you did to induce them. In the DreamViews Academy we work with people and their attempts by having people log all that in a Workbook which is reviewed by other members and staff. This promotes a good way to support each other's efforts. Check it out:

Pleasant dreams! :)

Thank you, I started my dream journal. I realized having the intension of writing your dreams down helps your brain remember them so you can write them down. Seems obvious now that ive said it.

It's something even long-time lucid dreamers will slack on and then lose focus. It helps to keep up with it. :)

Do you ever get overconfident and decide you don't need a dream journal anymore? It never works :(
