Hello
I've been lurking here for a few weeks. Lucid dreaming is something that I heard about years ago. Out of the blue I decided to do some research on the subject and found this site. After a week of reading I had my first DILD and flew. This week I tried to WILD(as I went to bed). I got to the point of seeing some images but had called it off as I had to get up early. I've got my journal going, doing my checks but I'm not getting much further. I think the only progress I've made is my recall. I am enjoying pushing the boundaries of my subconcious.
Anyways, this seems like a great site with interesting people and interesting topics. I'll be checking it out more.

Welcome to the forum!
Congratulations on the lucid dream! I bet it was a wonderful accomplishment after reading the material here.
As for the WILD you might have better luck trying it later in your sleep period, with WBTB or with a nap. It works better when you are very sleepy but not when first going to bed. Try it at a time when your sleep schedule isn't so important. Wouldn't want to be tired at work or school if you have either.
We have a class on WILD as well as an Intro class for learning the basics, if you're interested. You say you've been lurking so you may already know about them but I will link them anyway. You will see the classes listed at the top of that forum section: DV Academy
If you have any questions feel free to ask them in this thread or around the forum. You can also send a private message to any staff member. We're the ones with the colored stars under our names.
Pleasant dreams! :)

Thanks, I haven't checked out that link yet but I will check it out. My first LD was pretty intense. It is one of those things I'll never forget. I'm pretty much hooked now.

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.
Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)
Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)
Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)
Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/
Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/
Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!

Thanks for the info.
I actually already flew in my first LD.
Now, if I could only pull off another one.

I thought it would be easier than making an sea of naked women appear.
