Welcome to DV Dylan!
Dream sharing is a little sketchy and hasn't been scientifically proven to exist. There are lots of people who believe in it though, it's kind of hard to prove and disprove it at the same time. What you want to do is to start writing down your dreams to increase your recall. And after that you should practice some techniques. Check out the: DV Tutorials - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views , it has lots of nice tutorials for all the techniques out there.

I link to those two quite often, but they're the best source of information we have on the site. There's tons of user written tutorials all around aswell, they're usually a bit more specific or focus on a new kind of technique (usually just a tweaked old one, there's just DILD and WILD and different variations of these two) and can be quite interesting.
Got any questions? Ask away!
Hi and welcome Dreamscholar!
The dream sharing might not be proven to the world yet, but that doesn't stop you from proving it to yourself ;)
Watch this short video and think of the meaning of his words:
What is Out of Body Experience? - YouTube
So let's say that our brains are like computers (but we control it) and that the dreamworld is like the internet if we combine it with intention. When we dream we only have access to the computers memory and settings though, but if we can get access to the internet we can communicate with others if they let us. Like a chat program for example.
Ok this is obviously not as easy as it sounds, but by starting becoming aware of the dream world you can start to learn to program your brain and get in tune with the full system.
This is not fact, it's just a fun idea but my point is that if you want to learn to share your dreams you first have to learn to control your own.
So welcome to Dreamviews where we make dreams come true ;)
Hey Dylan! Definitely check out the links above. You might also enjoy browsing through the Beyond Dreaming forum

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/
Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/
