Hey
Hi everyone!
I've been having lucid dreams since I was little. That when I remember having almost one dream every night. Nowadays (I'm 22) about 50% of my dreams are lucid, although they're not as vivid as they used to be.
What made me register to this website are OBEs. I've read about those some time ago and had 1-3 week attempts several times over the last 2 years, but I've never had any success. The closest I've got to it was a couple of days ago when I was dreaming that I was having an OBE. I say this because I remember the scene of me stuck to the ceiling lasting just a second and it had to sense of reality to it. It was very non-lucid.
I've never had sleep paralysis and never felt any strong vibrations.
I know some people that have had OBEs and I know they have irregular sleep patterns and are anxious. They also get paralyzed often.
Are people with this kind of issues more prone to having OBEs?
So if you guys have some tips for me I'd gladly accept them.
Thanks for reading my long first post!

Darnet, another natural! Oh well, welcome to Dreamviews! :alien:
I have had 3OBEs and one of them started with me staring at my ceiling from 10inches away. I got it when trying to WILD. Check out the Beyond dreaming forum, which is dedicated to OBEs and stuff. Just post your question there, you will get some replies.
There is no need for Sleep paralysis - condition when you can't move at all. Some who get SP may use it to OBE, but there is so many other ways to OBE.
Vibrations or any other hypnagogic hallucinations are more likely, when you doing WILD. As far as I can tell, your lucids were DILD.
Here is a great WILD (sageous) tutorial Looking forward to your posts. Happy dreams :alien:

Hey gab, thanks for your reply!

What's your story?
I'm one of the Dream Guides here and they make us do it. Haha, just kidding:alien: As you will find out, this is the most active lucid dreaming forum out there, and some of us got addicted to it. You can identify these addicts by people asking them: "Hey, you quite active. What's your story?" hehe
My name is gab, and I'm a lucid dreamer. :chuckle:
Also like to OBE or just enjoy my hallucinations as falling asleep. (really looking forward for my potential employer finding this). :alien:

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. There is no quick answer to your question, but the Dream guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.
One thing you can do in a post is place a link to another thread. I have done this below. You can click on the colored words to see the new thread. Start with this extra basic one, it will help you read the acronyms in other posts, Help With Acronyms For Complete Beginners
After that one the very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using in much more depth, so start here, http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/
Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.
Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)
Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)
Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)
Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/
Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/
Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
