Th' Name's Luna...
Hi. That's really all there is to say, isn't it? Hi, I'm new, both to this site and to lucid dreaming... I'd really, really appreciate it if someone were to show me th' ropes, 'cos I cannot for th' life of me find t' task of th' month/year list or whatever it manifests itself as....*sigh* I'm posting from 9:00 my time, so I keep glancing at my watch, aimin' for 10:00 bedtime...I'm going to try to WILD tonight. No success yet, but hey, I just realized I've been doing it wrong the past few nights...heheh, I can tell...I think it'll work tonight ^-^ welp, I'm off to do a bit of last-minute reading up, I hope I'll have a good stay here!

Welcome Luna. :) Isn't that another name for the moon? Which means that you have a night/ dream themed name?! How awesome isn't that :imslow:
I hope you enjoy your stay and if you ever need any help, remember that you are in the perfect place for asking. ;)
Sweet dreams Luna!

Glad to have you with us here at DV Luna, I'm sure you will learn a lot in your time here with us. Luna immediately reminds me of a character on a game I've been playing recently, which I may go play here shortly.. Back on topic we go! With all else set aside I must say I am always happy to hear that someone is interested in learning about Lucid Dreaming. If there is a spark in a field I want to help kindle the fire that the spark might light when it comes to things like this. After all, everyone has to start somewhere and along the path of knowledge there will be a lot of information thrown at you. Its up to you to pick through those piles of text and choose what methods and techniques are right for you, and maybe even spark interest in the modification or creation of your own method along the way. I can assure you that if you stay dedicated, and courageous in the pursuit of knowledge.. you will succeed and hopefully reach your end goal or goals.
Below this post I have left the link that will take you directly to the Task of The Month (ToTM) and the Task of The Year (ToTY) threads. From here you can view either new, or old tasks and challenges that have been proposed for the members of the forum to complete. Almost like a little quest of the sorts, interesting to say the very least. Hopefully you can either work on the new ones or maybe even sprout new ideas from the old ones or simply do nothing at all with it. After all, in the end its always up to you. If you happen to have any questions or concerns involving lucid dreaming or anything of that sort I'd be more than happy to help to the best of my ability. I try my best to include personal experiences, essentially what has worked for me, but I also try my best to provide the alternatives to each situation as well. Farewell friend!

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. The Dream Guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.
One thing you can do in a post is place a link to another thread. I have done this below. You can click on the colored words to see the new thread. Start with this extra basic one, it will help you read the acronyms in other posts, Help With Acronyms For Complete Beginners
After that one the very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using in much more depth, so start here, The Beginner's Guide to Lucid Dreaming
Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.
Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)
Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)
Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)
I hope to save you some time by giving you a link to a thread we all put together on the topic Sleep Paralysis. There has been so much misinformation and confusion on this topic, that after a few days on the sight, you would surely run into confusing statements refering to SP. Save yourself some frustration and read this post if you want to know about SP, Sleep Paralysis Explained
Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, Can U Fly/ How Did You Learn?
Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, 1000 things to do in a lucid dream!!!
Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
