First Lucid Dream
Hello,
I just joined as I had my first real lucid dream last night and it was amazing. I have read about lucid dreaming but never attempted to attain lucidity. Last night changed my mind.
I woke up in the dream in bed. Looked around and my best friend was naked beside me. (so wrong). I knew this couldn't be real and realized I was dreaming. I didn't hesitate or get to excited. I just embraced it for fact.
I was able to make the landscape melt, buildings melted as I jumped off. I jumped to try to fly and realized halfway down it wasn't working! Then a metal gold wheel appeared and I could control it to fly around my new world. I skimmed atop sailboats with different colour sails and made one rainbow and made a crows nest appear. Once I landed I turned it into a pirate ship and went sailing. I remember jumping off the ship closing my eyes and deciding that I wanted to land to be where water was and slowly floated down.
I walked along trying to figure out what to do next. This is my favorite part. I closed my eyes and thought I want to fly a dragon (I definitely read way to many fantasy novels). This was the first time my dream tried resist what I wanted. I had imagined a giant fire breathing dragon and instead I got a squishy fluffy water dragon sitting in a fountain. I wasnt impressed but still decided to ride it. Once I sat down it started running and jumped into the air (I did not control this part). I was scared and almost lost control. Then I remembered I am dreaming and flew my dragon in among the clouds.
I was doing this when my cat decided to wake me up with a paw in the face.
What I want to do know is know how to do this again. In the dream I felt myself start to wake up and remember forcing myself back to sleep.
Any ideas on how to make this happen again?
I also just needed to tell someone how awesome this was as it felt like real life every second.

Congratulations on your first, it sounded like tons of fun :) I would suggest looking around on this forum for information on getting more frequent lucid dreams. Some basics you could do are to start a dream journal, and to do reality checks throughout the day. Reality check are doing something like pinching your nose and trying to breath through it. :P hope this poor info helped
