Clarity would be nice please

Hi there basically about 7 years ago my old teacher taught me a little about lucid dreaming, I tried a few ways like walking down the steps into a dream and drinking water and standing at my toilet asking myself if I have been here before, nothing every really happened and my dream log didn't really go anywhere, anyway about 2 years ago I was laid on my bed and I started hearing this small screeching noise that started to get loader and loader like a scream, until it was unbearable at that point I realise or at least it felt like my hand eyes and feet were all tense and closed really tight and I would try to scream for help as I knew where I was in the room but I couldn't open my mouth, this has happened a quite a bit since then and I have thought it was maybe epilepsy as certain types can be brought on by fear, until last night I heard the same screech and I knew it was happening at the point I thought I heard my mum use the bathroom and that everything was seized up and closed tight then my arms lifted up as I tried to make some notice to get her attention it felt like my arms were in zero gravity just wavering in the air, that point I had a little flash and I could open my eyes and I was waiting for my mum to leave the toilet but she never even went in and that my arms were under the cover not on top like when it happened.

Would be great to get some real input on this thank you in advance

Sleep paralysis, maybe a recurring dream that involves a false awakening, but my money is SP. next time it happens realize you're dreaming and induce a LD.

When did this happen? On the onset of sleep, or as you were waking up on the bed? It sounds to me like hypnagogic hallucinations. These hallucinations occur at the onset of sleep, as we transition from waking to sleeping state. Basically our sleeping state gets morphed with the waking state, so we see dream-like projections, which can be visual, auditory, tactile, etc. The opposite of this is hypnapompic hallucinations, which occur as we are starting to wake up.

Anyway, these sensations are normal and if you notice them, it's only because your mind is more aware of the transition, than when you don't try to be aware and just doze off. Have you heard of WILD? ( WILD Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views )

Don't worry too much about them, they are just thoughts conjured up by your mind, and cannot harm you physically. A little tip: you can even play with them! If they start to become unpleasant, you can try to imagine them morph into something else, or try to visualize a nicer scene.

Yup sounds like sleep paralysis to me too, don't worry about it thought, sleep paralysis often has hallucinations as a side effect and they are completely harmless. Like paige said maybe you can use them to get some lucid dreams or other fun stuff :)
