New (sorry I am not sure how to sell myself here)

I have been into lucid dreaming on and off for a few years and had a few experiences. Every time I get really into, there is some change in my life that I have to focus on and I lose my focus on lucid dreaming. It is always for the same reason, though: to get answers. You could say there has been some weird things happening in my life lately (well, I say lately but it's ever since I can remember). I guess I classify as a "psychic" or "medium." I see dead people, yes, but it is more than that. Non human things gravitate towards me and bother me on a daily basis. When I was a small child, I was very attuned to these things and thought it was nothing out of the ordinary. As I got older, I tried to focus on "real" things and being "normal." It worked until I turned 15. I am turning 18 next month and I am getting the overwhelming sense that it is going to get a lot worse. So, I need support from your community so that I may stay focused on my goal, which is getting answers. Like, why do I see what I see? Why am I being contacted? What is going to happen next? I share in the idea that reality is what we make of it. There is no way for us to see things exactly as another being. We are all so complex, yet how is that one in infinity chance we are all here possible? .... Without getting into too much detail here, I just want to say finally "hello."

First off all, let me just be sure of one thing: you see dead people during the day or in your dreams? Because if it's the first you realize that we're not going to take that very lightly, but more be a bit concerned with your well-being. Even though I don't believe in any of the "psychic/medium" claims because no one has ever proven them in controlled settings, I do think you should consider talking to a psychologist if those events are bothering you. I'm not saying you're wrong for sure, but have you considered that you might have some psychological problems that are putting a great deal of stress into you? I had a friend in a related situation and it turns out that the "psychic" explanation he gave to the events was nothing more than it's own subconscious trying to justify in any way possible the reason for his chaotic/random thoughts of everyday.

The community around here is extremely friendly and I'm sure you'll be able to find people to help you with in terms of sharing your experiences, but please consider that might be an alternate explanation to your issues. Writing this solely for the purpose of hopefully throwing a different perspective on the subject, sometimes the answers we seek might be far more simple and less mysterious than we think :)

I have seen a psychologist and a psychiatrist. I am bipolar and take pills every day for that.The anti-psychotic drug I am on is supposed to help with hallucinations. No change has occurred in what I see and sense since taking them. My doctor said that if the "hallucinations" and voices are not telling me to harm myself or anyone else, then they are of no concern. I like focusing on reality and have reached out to others who see, hear, and sense the same things I do, to keep myself grounded and to know truly this is not a product of my own mind. My Mother shares some of my "ability," as she calls it- not me. I do worry is what I experience is real or not, but so far nothing has definitively been proven to me either way, though talking to other people has caused me to try and be accepting that it is all real. Most of the time I do not want to believe it, but the dead and nonhuman entities keep at it.
