Why am I so stupid when I'm dreaming?

I there, here's my question: Why am I so stupid when I'm dreaming?

I was in a dream repairing a computer for a complete stranger. Suddently, I realised that I must dream! (not so stupid for now)

I was about to try thing I can do in a dream but the stranger said "Hey! You forgot my computer!"
Then I said: "Ho sorry!" and I continued everything like a normal dream.

How Can I get rid of this stupid behaviour? Almost every of my lucid dream experiences ended up with a thing like this -_-"

      Thanks!

Sometimes we slip in and out of lucidity and it's completely normal. Some lucid dreams can be a little weird in that way that you still go along with whatever's happening. The other night I was in a LD and I asked my gf if I could go around and have fun. She said no so I stayed with her.

What you should do is have a clear goal in mind and perhaps visualize yourself becoming lucid and denying every DC requests that they have and not getting side tracked, you want to focus on that goal.

If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Also when we are dreaming sometimes those parts of our mind that prioritize what is important and what is not are too asleep, and just because you are lucid does not guarantee that your judgement is not impaired. In waking life you have no problem realizing that the DC's car is not worth bothering with once you became lucid, but in a dream prioritizing may be much harder.

      Yo.
To add to what everyone else said i also noticed that full memory of waking life is also not always regained when becoming lucid, to counter that you could repeat your dream goals as mantra or write/type them out somewhere before going to sleep/nap.

Yes, it's also interesting when you are at your home - where you spend every day of the year! - in your lucid and it's not until you wake up that you realise the dream home was full of errors like rooms in the wrong places and furniture in the wrong places!
My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.
