New member here! Question inside.

Hey everybody, great to be part of this community. I am starting to love this thing you call LDing & I hope someday I will be as good as lady ness :).

I have been browsing this forum since 9 am this morning, and have not found any threads regarding my question. Would it help by any chance to play a music file of myself saying "This is a dream, this isn't real, look at your hands, lucid, lucid, lucid, you're in a dream, etc etc". Or something like "1 you're dreaming, 2 you're dreaming, 3 you're dreaming, etc"

I want to try learning the MILD technique first and I thought this might help me get into LD faster? I have no problems listening to music while I sleep. If this is a stupid idea please ignore/delete the topic mods :oops:

I just can't get myself to realize that I am dreaming. Everything seems perfect in my fuzzy ND. I can't get myself to look at my hands, nor do any RC :?: I've kept a written little journal on what I see in my dreams, and I usually see them once or even twice in the same dream, but I can't say to myself "this is a dream you idiot" Any ideas? :oops: :cry:

Ok, there was a topic about this on the forum before.

And I have tried to record a wav file to say "Lucic83 , you are dreaming"

I only tried once and I did it every 15 minutes for about 30 times during the night so that would be like 30 / 4 about 7 hours total.

Try it at a low and then increasing volume and see what you get. This was tried in a lab and it worked for the experimenter.

You mean that Guy saying 'You are in a dream state' over and over. Nice Music but it did nothing for me. (The accent was too American). You would do better watching an episode of the 'Mighty Boosh'.

Konefku, I think that would be helpful, although I once read that if u use somebody elses voice, it tends to be a lot more effective, since the voice causes a bigger impression. You hear your own voice most the time, but not other ppl's voices.

Anyway, I had an awesome LD caused by a mp3 I downloaded from ld4all.com, so yeah, I definately advise it.

Yes, thank you for the replies, lucid83 has given me a very nice mp3 of himself (i think) speaking.

What do you people mean? Like sleeping next to your computer? Or with headphones on and a cd playing? I don't get it...

Like you would play music out loud and sleep with it repeating itself.
