Hello, everyone!
So, this is basically my introduction thread.
I only really remember 4 or 5 lucid dreams in my life, but I'm hoping on changing that.
I've been interested in dreams from a young age, when I used to have intense nightmares (and very few 'nice' dreams), some of which left me traumatized and sleep deprived, for example, I used to dream of my mum stretching her neck and chasing me whilst laughing, yeah, it sounds immature and quite funny, but they were INCREDIBLY vivid and scary at the time.
I've also had some shadow people dreams, and even a shadow person false awakening when I was about 7 or 8.
So, yup, apart from that, I'm into music, I mainly listen to metal, but also love Blues and Composers such as Chopin.
I also love video games and Star Wars.

Welcome DarthLucidity!
Those nightmares don't seem any fun indeed :P I stopped having them since I start to lucid dream, and I bet that happens with loads of people as well.
Try giving the http://www.dreamviews.com/introducti...-dreaming.html a read, it's the perfect way to start your journey into lucid dreaming!
Any questions just pm or post away :)
PS: Chopin <3

Hi DarthLucidity, welcome to DV!
I grew up the same way, nightmares every night. I used to thrash around so much when I slept that my GF had to sleep on the far edge of the bed to keep from bodily harm. All the night terror ended in one day when I learned to train my brain to expect better things. If you have any questions about LD I am sure some smart person on DV can answer your questions.
Cheers

Welcome DarthLucidity! Hope you enjoy DV.
Whenever I was a kid, I used to have nightmares sometimes. About 2 or 3 every week, but I started telling myself before I went to sleep "I'll have good dreams tonight!" and I'd describe to myself what I would dream about that night, and I had far less nightmares after I started that, and since I learned about LD I've had barely any. Hopefully, it'll be the same for you!
