Introducing Myself
Hello,
I go by the name of Kolchak ( one of my favorite TV series)
I am from haunted southeast Louisiana .
Being from the Mardi Gras city, I am much into costuming and character creation. Which means any pictures of me will be myself in costume as my various characters. One time I am a historical character, one time a vampire, one time a woman and another time a monster.
I have been interested into understanding my dreams. I have had some just so realistic!
I have had some whereby I wake up and go right back into the same dream.
Looking forward to joining the group
Kolchak

Welcome to DV Kolchak! Are you interested in learning how to lucid dream (having vivid dreams already means that you already have one of the prerequisites) or are you just interested in dream interpretation but not in trying to control them? Either way, I think you will find a lot of like minded people here. Dreams are the ultimate costume party, aren't they? In one of my most recent ones I was Sherlock Holmes or someone just like him, which required not just a gender change but also quite a different mentality - boy was I in for a surprise when I woke up and realized how different from my usual self I had become there. :) do you also often dream that you are not yourself?
-
At times. I have been different characters - can't remember any particular ones at this time. However a couple of times I was dressed as a woman.
Wonder what that means?

I would venture to say that since you do at times dress up as a woman for costume parties, your being dressed as a woman probably means something different to you than to a man who would never wear a woman's clothing in waking life. :)

That makes good sense to me.
I can't post pictures for 7 days but will later on
-
Do they have a place for albums and pictures on this site?

I would say that it sounds like your costumes are an expression of your creativity, so I would think they would fit in this subforum Artists' Corner but maybe someone else will come along to give you an even better place to post them. Usually Dream Guides will respond to an introductory thread, and they help new people and will probably know better than me where this would go (or they might confirm this).

Kolchak, I just noticed that you asked about this dream in the Lucid Dreaming Discussion subforum, which makes me wonder whether you are familiar with this site's terminology what we mean by "lucid dreaming" here. Some people elsewhere may use lucid synonymously with vivid, but for the purposes of this site (and not just this site, it is an established term): lucid dreaming means being aware during a dream that it is a dream.
The reason why this matters among other things is that while some people on this site are into both dream interpretation and into lucid dreaming, there is a group of people who believe that looking for meaning in dreams is useless that they are meaningless more or less but they are into awareness and control in dreams, and then there is another group of people who are into dream interpretation but consider lucid dreaming to be meddling with the subconscious. As I said, I am into both and thus will likely post in both subforums, but if you post a request for dream interpretation in the Lucid Dreaming subforum, you are much more likely to get the response that it is likely meaningless from somebody. :-)

I found that out.
Thanks for the advise.
