Hello everyone!
Greetings.
I really like this forum. All of you, this huge community that supports it, have put a lot of work in it, and I admire you for it. I hope my contributions, if any, will help and not hinder.
To start off, I feel obliged to mention that I am not interested in LD for the sake of it. I am a practising student of Esotericism, so I have less (for not having a better word) "mainstream" ideas. I have, however, a highly scientific mind. Of course, scientific attitude does not equal materialistic ideas. You, as much as I, understand this.
I am Greek, and currently 22 years old. I am working toward 100% lucidity in each and every dream. The Esoteric school of thought that I am a member of has a plethora of practices, esoteric and non-esoteric. Now, I am using RCs, meditation, dream-remembering mantras, Key SOL (attention dividing practice that raises ones focus, and has a lot of esoteric uses). Also, I am trying to have WILDs, through meditation.
I've had some LDs, and I experience HH almost every night.
I don't know how active I'll be, because I'm trying to cut down on my PC time. However, I'll try to use the DJ here a lot. I type a lot faster than I write on paper, and with much less physical effort ( :P ).
That's it for the intro. Thank you all for having me!

Welcome to DV! Can you tell us a bit more about this Esoteric school of thought? I would be interested in hearing a bit more about your beliefs and goals. Also have you read Tibetan Buddhist writings about dream yoga, lucidity and the goal of complete awareness? It sounds like those might be of interest to you.

I am a student at Gnosis, aka Universal Christian Gnostic Church, founded by V.M. Samael Aun Weor. His doctrine is the teaching of Synthesis. That means we practice dream control, lucidity (or conscious attention), and of course the goal of complete and total awareness and unification with the Illuminated Void, or Absolute.
So you are indeed right, these are of interest to me. :) In essence, I adhere to the essential teachings of Buddhism, Christianity, western Mysticism, ancient Greek and Egyptian esoterism, and pretty much everything, seen as a whole.
Any and all questions are welcome. Mind you, I am not proselytizing. If you do not wish to hear, I will not say anything. :)

Interesting. I will need to google this and read more about it. Thanks. I am a Christian, Episcopalian (so in the Anglican communion), but I have also been reading about Tibetan Buddhism, and I recently read a translation of the Gospel of Mary which I guess is Gnostic. I am more and more leaning toward a belief that all major religions have some truth in them, and all got some things wrong also in their human interpretations, and while I myself remain firmly Christian but I believe in respecting other faiths and learning from them as well.
My interest in lucid dreaming is firmly intertwined with my interest in developing my spirituality as well.
I look forward to our getting to know each other better and learning form each other's ideas.

Welcome to DV
It's interesting to see someone with different ambitions for a change.
I hope your work into lucidity pays off for whatever you wish to achieve :)
